NHRA, FOX Sports announce 2026 NHRA TV schedule for 75th anniversary season

NHRA and FOX Sports have released the television schedule for the upcoming 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. All 20 races, along with the NHRA All-Star Callout events, will be broadcast on either FOX or FS1, as well as the FOX One app.

The way the "rev limiter" works on a nitro car, the slower you can accelerate the engine on the front half, the more you can lean into it in the back half - once the engine hits a certain RPM, a timer kicks off, then starts taking engine timing away. Having to tiptoe through the first 500ft meant the second 500ft you could pour the coal on and the "rev limiter" wouldn't be active yet because you took longer to cross the trigger threshold RPM.

I can see the speed record falling again in Southern Maryland next weekend. That place is extremely fast.
