Watkins Glen we saw an 18 year old kid in a straight axle rear end, 4-speed truck run a faster lap than the phenom, road course SVG in the next gen car.
IMO, this car has been crap since it debuted.
I guess we’ll have an official race tonight regardless of whether it rains. I’ll be extremely surprised if we go the distance tonight
I think you are unfortunately correct since according to my weather app the rain is coming soon to Concord, NC.
Seems this will be a rain shortened race.
Neither of the other two races here this weekend have gone the distance. No reason this one should either. I'm surprised they've gotten this far tonight.

I get it. But if that kid got in a cup car he would get destroyed. Speed is so different. Lots of people are fast for a couple of laps then its over

In my opinion, even if this race doesn't race the full race it has already been the best race of the weekend.

I guess I’m going against the grain, because I would be shocked if the rain ends up being a washout.
Rain extends all the way south to Tallahassee, moving north, getting heavier.
I think the problem is it’s 9:30 local time. How hard would they try if it did rain, even if it were light.

At some point Toyota has to back up to the field.
Watching this race from Larson's on board - it's not often that you can see the advantages in both power and grip.
Its like these Toyotas are racing something other than the current gen 7 package.
Of course they aren't, but they are THAT much better.

We’ve passed 400 miles. So at least if it ends up being shortened (I’m not convinced), we got a full normal length race in. And at least one of the three races this weekend had actual green flag action.
So were you guys complaining disadvantage when the Shivvys were winning?
