There's more than those 13 minutes? If you get a chance, go to YouTube and watch the whole interview. One of the best I have heard in awhile. Brings up some very good points about Nascar and drivers today.

The long version has the first clip in it too. In the long clip he talks about when he first got into drag racing, it's pretty good. His early days when he was a kid just starting out is on there also. There's more than those 13 minutes?
Some of the stuff Tony talks about and some of the stuff Carl Edwards talked about when he was on Dale Jr's podcast last year is why I really struggle to watch much NASCAR. There's just just too much blatant WWE stuff that goes on. It just never was the same for me after they took that championship from Carl on the most bogus yellow.
It doesn't help to regularly feature WWE personalities in promotions and pre-race ceremonies. Recent replays of Busch, Logano, and Waltrip engaging in scripted WWE shenanigans are cringe inducing. There's just just too much blatant WWE stuff that goes on.
They seem to largely do this at the 500 only, which isn't great either, but at least I have seen Indycar races in recent memory without a single caution flag. That literally is impossible now in NASCAR.Thankfully NASCAR is heading in the right direction on this front. There is a long way to go but Steve O'Donnell and Ben Kennedy at the helm is a net positive.
Meanwhile, IndyCar is out here throwing entertainment cautions and reds.
