Wow I didn't know he was still alive. I used to think he and Cookie were very strange when I was a kid...I think clowns are creepy.

I remember watching his show when i was a kid...at least 20 years ago now...everyday, every time it was on. He had some good stuff

Bozo was before my kids times, but oddly, they all think they're creepy and don't like them at all. They used to run away from them when they were little. lol

I was more into Captain Kangaroo. Good morning show for kids to start their day. Afternoon shows were more problematic as I wasn't a TV kid who wanted to stay inside rather than playing outside.
We also watched Hobo Kelley and Wonderama

Oh yeah, I loved Captain Kangaroo!! Loved Mr. Greenjeans! I remember being sad when I couldn't watch it anymore when I started school. Mom always had on the Today show.

I got to watch the Captain before going off to school. I suppose it was about 61 or 62 when I stopped watching. My sister's favorite was Sesame Street. And I really hated it when they changed CK's format to be more like SS. I've often said CK taught kids morals and behavior more so than other shows. SS was more about learning school stuff. But then it was geared more for the inner city kids than the other kid's programming.

Who remembers my all time favorite, Soupy Sales? Now that was a great show, AND it was live. And that presented more than just a few problems over the years...especially when they played a joke on him behind the door with a naked lady. If only us kids knew what was going on behind that door.
Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney? Good stuff.

Oh yeah, the Captain was must see TV when I was a kid.
Clowns always disturbed me personally. It got even worse when I learned about John Wayne Gacy. Now any time I see a clown I think of Gacy. I won't ever think of clowns or crawl spaces the same way again.
Oh, buck, I do remember Soupy Sales. That man could make me laugh just standing there.

How sad.. a part of my childhood gone but i never watched him much.. too freaky... I still think of IT..the Stephen King Movie everytime i see him.. clowns are bad..lol
