It looks like Courtney Force will run the full tour in 2012 in a Nitro Funny Car sponsored by Traxxas and tuned by Ron Douglas.

One of the kids on our crew has the biggest crush on Courtney. I keep trying to get him to talk to her but he is to shy. Every time we run in to her at the hotel or at the track he starts getting red faced and starts stuttering. I only live about 7 miles from her. Courtney is a very nice girl.

Andy are you planning on attending any of the Nhra races this year?

As of now, no. The Englishtown race is the same weekend as Dover (HUH?!:eek::rolleyes:) and the Maple Grove race is the same weekend as the Nationals at Potomac Speedway.
That sucks, I have the same problem a couple times a year. Besides working on an Nhra Nitro F/C team, I also crew on a Nostalgia Nitro F/C team, and there are a couple times a year that the race dates conflict.

There's gonna be a lot of schedule conflicts this year.

Did you go to Cacklefest this year?

The last race that we ran the Nostalgia car was the Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield Ca at the end of 2011. We have the car apart right now. It doesn't race again until the March Meet in Bakersfield Ca.

That car was a bare chassis two weeks earlier. I couldn't make it to that race this year because I was in Las Vegas with the other car. But I worked non stop for 3 days putting it back together so they could run. That car was built the year before and it was called the Nitro Cowboy. We went 5.95 on the first full pass with it the year before. They were having problems with the fuel system at the race you were at.

That race is a pretty cool deal.Seeing all those old cars sure was neat.I flew to Vegas then drove there with my dad and about 8 of his friends. We had about 8 cars in the Grove.Already have our hotel rooms reserved for this year.

EWM&N or H4T?

Nostalgia anything is cool. We used to go to the reunions in Noble.

Magnethead if you ever get a chance to go to either the March Meet or the Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield, you won't regret it.

I was gonna suggest you come to Legends at Budds Creek. I really enjoyed this event last year. We're going to work on our motorsports schedule in the next week or so at the office but it's likely I'll be covering baseball more than anything.

Budds Creek has been around for a long time. I know they have some real good races there.

Here is a you tube shot of qualifying at the 2010 Hot Rod Reunion when we made our first full pass with the Nitro Cowboy and ran a 5.95 at 240 mph and then the chutes didn't come out and the car went in to the sand pit. I think we were about the 5th pair of cars to run and we were in the right lane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jml-oBaG5g

it'll be awhile before we go back to Cali.

But we have A/FA and P/MD races once a month out here. Things are a handful to begin with, and the local tracks even with best prep, driver skill is better than car skill. Frankie 'Mad Man' Taylor and Gaylen Smitch are locals.

For comparison, Larry Eidson went 4.13 to take the pole in a bracket race in august....ran his top dragster setup as a test session for the dallas nat's. He was illegial there, went 205 on one chute and no hans. So he set it up to shut off on a timer at 1100 feet, and still got to 2nd or 3rd round.

We'll be for sure 5.40's this year, 5.30's or high 20's with the M5 nitro.:pbjtime:

Those were some cool video's Magnethead. I hope you are getting your car back together. I know you said a while back that you had a lot of work to do on it over the winter.

Some of you Courtney fans will be getting a treat this month. Courtney will be showing skin in this months ESPN Magazines Body edition released July 12th. She thought about it for about a year and made sure her family was ok with it before she said yes. She said they are very classy photos.

With everybody getting their sporting news online, I guess ESPN has to do something to sell magazines. Works for me.

They actually started doing the body issue in '09 to try to rival SI's Swimsuit Issue. Edwards graced the cover of the first edition I believe.

This thread is totally worthless without pics.

The good pics don't come out until Fri. :) . But, those two teaser pics that they showed on the ESPN drag racing telecast yesterday should sell a lot of magazines.;) Now, Nick will probably get excited everytime he mounts a new set of tires. LOL

Guess i'll have to order mine on Amazon, since the USAF has adopted this new more conservative way of conducting business in the face of all the sexual assault going on in the armed forces, they no longer get alot of this kinda stuff overseas...

Wow, just incredibly hawt

That's an understatement. She looks like she was carved out of marble for Christs sake.
Kevin, I have seen her around the pool and jacuzzi enough to confirm that she is the real deal.;)

Hand rx sedatives needed.
