Similar to the random Nascar thread how about a random thread for everything else that might not be worth a new topic? For example, can anyone tell me what's going on here?

Or how about random thoughts, like "What do illiterate people take with them to the bathroom? Speak & Spell?"
 
I don't understand how Taylor Swift can sell one million albums in a week. Granted her music can be catchy but........
 
This Christmas house is the most awesome one I've ever seen. The snowman actually sings. (heavy metal content, don't let that scare you away, this is really, really well done)

She crosses a couple of very hot genres. She is still big in country and being big in pop music is huge thing as far as album sales. People who like pop music tend to be kind of sheepish. If they are told something is good and everybody else is listening to it, they tend to like it to. Wouldn't want to be considered abnormal, ya know.

Now don't get me wrong. I really like most of her music and I think most of her sales are because her music is really good and she just seems like a geniunely nice person. She is an incredible songwriter. Her music and it's stories are easily relatable to many people. I'm just saying that the whole pop music thing puts her sales into the stratosphere.

The thing that bothers me about her is that all her music is exactly the same. If you have that many failed relationships maybe it's you Taylor? lol

I get what you are saying. It seems like the songs of her's that get a lot of airtime are all breakup songs. She has a lot of those, but she covers a lot of different subjects. Many of those really relate to teenage girls in particular. I love what she has done for my youngest daughter as far as that goes.

I'm with you there. From the rack up, she's pretty hot. That also applies to about a million or so other women. Other than that, what does she offer? As far as him, I don't really listen to that kind of music, but he seems like a real dick from what I've seen. It's not just the Taylor Swift thing, but that is a good example.
 
I love my in-laws, I really do, but I couldn't resist this. From Christmas eve. They were fine, but what a classic look they both had on their face.

She really didn't have to go and get her self knocked up, she could have just adopted me. I'm already potty trained and I can feed my self, and I'm pretty sure that I could learn to be high maintenance.

My first demands would be front row season tickets to the Lakers games. But that wouldn't be a deal breaker, I might settle for the second row.
 
I always laugh when one of the Kardashians say they are going on vacation or taking a break. A break from what exactly? They've been famous for a few years now and I still have no idea what they do for a living.

Has anyone else here seen the movies... It is 40, or Jack Reacher, and did you like them?
 
I'm interested in what people say about Jack Reacher. Lee Child describes Reacher as a 6'4" 220 pound guy. It's rather difficult to see that with Tom Cruise playing the role.

It's difficult to imagine Tom Cruise playing a human in general.

I saw it on NewYears day, but I am also interested in seeing some feed back from others. I have never really thought of Tom Cruise as a tough guy, and I really never got into his mission impossible movies that much, but I actually thought Jack Reacher was one of his better movies. I'm not saying that it is the best movie that I have ever seen, but it is far from being the worst movie that I have seen.
 
Nascar, Nhra, and Indycar may be suffering a little from the economy, but the Monster Energy AMA Supercross doesn't seem to be lacking in ticket sales. I went to the Angel Stadium today to purchase some tickets for this Sat, and they were already sold out except for a few of the higher priced single seats that were scattered around. We usually just buy the cheap seats because we just stand down by the beer garden and watch anyway. So I ended up paying 3 times the amount that I usually pay for tickets. I guess that's what I get for putting off until today...something that I should have done yesterday. :) Heck, there were fans there purchasing tickets for the Jan 19 race already.:eek:
