Richmond RACE thread ---

It is somewhat juvenile but like I said he admitted he was wrong... what else can u ask for other than maybe for him to say it on camera instead of twitter...but Im sure thatll happen next week.
Well, I don't "follow" Twitter (for obvious reasons) and I've learned to mute the volume when someone sticks a microphone in Brad's face :D

Let me guess. He feels betrayed by the driver he feels is the very best in NASCAR.

Here's Kez's problem. After a rough start as a hard nose racer, he finally plays by the 'gentlemans agreement'. Now the rules of engagement have changed. Matt won't get away with all those blocks again, no matter who he's racing.

No, the problem is Brad is a mini Tony Stewart that believes everyone should race the way he thinks they should. And when others don't do what Brad thinks they should he cries like a woman about it.

The rules never changed. Since when was there ever a gentlemans agreement of no blocking when you're going for a win?

Matt did nothing wrong in the final laps of that race. He was going for the win. A massive overreaction on Brad's part.

I think the real problem is that it was a race on short track thus equals short track tempers. Which I love. Even though Brad was in the wrong, I'm glad he expressed his anger. I wish Kenseth would have slammedb back into him like AJ did.

Went to the NW and Cup race this weekend. Sat up in the Commonwealth mezzanine under the tower on the front stretch for the first time.
Been going to that track since the 80's and it's like another world up there.

You can only get up there if you have tickets for that section (mezzanine/tower) so it' not too crowded. Escalators and elevators to get you up and down. Concessions are so close they may as well be in your back pocket. A line of TV screens at the front. The restrooms up there make the ones on the ground floor look like something from a Turkish prison.

If you're thinking of going to RIR in the future, the Commonwealth mezzanine section is where you want to be.

You seem to know quite a lot about Turkish prisons

Yep. He didn't move him until Logano and Gordon had checked out, what good is it at that point?

Brad had actually gained the inside coming off the corner, but Gordon ran in to him. I think that's when he boiled over and hit Matt the first time, which let Jeff get by. Then he nailed him. He shouldn't have moved up or backed off so many times. Matt should have been scraping the wall 2 laps earlier.

Some I agree with, some I don't. Running a guy up or down the track again and again was never acceptable. Drivers used to whine or try to pull hair, but soon it will be reason to get moved. What I'm trying to say is that Brad LET Matt get away with that kind of racing, so he should be mad at himself.

It's always been understood that almost anything goes in the final laps when you're going for the win.

If Brad had turned Matt for blocking, no foul IMO.

Not sure where you're getting that it was never acceptable for drivers to do what Matt did in the final laps.

Kenseth always has the widest car on the track when he is leading, this is nothing new. Glad it didnt work out for him though, its just not possible to block everyone at the same time, A for effort though

Most people pick either Bristol or Martinsville as their favorite short track, but Richmond definitely deserves some love too.

Agreed, last nights race was a good one, Richmond is passing Bristol on my list now

o_OSeriously?

Matt was the moron. Why do guys let him do this stuff? Kasey handed him 2 wins last year by letting him do some insane blocking.

Good thing you weren't here last night or you would have been called names.

Guys comes out of nowhere and start playing the block game when he cant hold people off.

I was hoping Gordon would dump him when he had the chance. I understand that would have taken Brad out too but you have to do what you have to do. :D

I really dislike Kenseth.

I coined the phrase "I really dislike Kenseth" years ago.............................. come up with yer own stuff

Well, I have been hanging around certain people so its no surprise I'm picking up old habits.

But seriously, I have a legitimate reason to not like this guy. He's always in some bruhaha with Gordon.

I enjoyed the hell out of watching him block the field and fail, I dont blame him for blocking, its part of racing but the way he does it is irritating to me. Kyle was the best finishing JGR car again and that makes me happy, its good to see him get a decent finish with a crap car

Rogers' call to pit towards the end was freaking brilliant.

Looks like a nice cut above the eye.

FYI: Mears is no worse for wear.

Lots of mascara, I bet.

Yes it was and thats the kind of stuff he needs to do more of to get Kyle some wins. Its got to be hard to make calls like that cause they can go terribly wrong, I guess Rogers is learning to work with Kyle a little better. I would prefer that Kyle be given some competitive cars but that may not happen so they make the best of a bad situation

I don't know what race some of you were watching but #2 had a run on the #20 and was likely about to pass him when the #24 knocked the #2 sideways. That's no fault of Kenseth.

I was surprised Jeff couldn't make the pass Logano ended up executing for the lead. 1 of the 2 fastest cars won, because even Kyle on 4 new tires had nothing for those Penske cars.

He's like a school girl with that Twitter crap...
A young drivers uses social networking in the 21st century to stay in touch with his fans the best way possible. That sure is crappy of him

I got kicked off twitter...
Couldn't imagine why

Kyle was catching Gordon fast and would have won the race had there been 25 more laps and caution free

I explained that already. Whining and such. See above.

You know, if the admins lifted the severe censoring on curse words, we wouldn't find sneaky ways to write them up or even feel like cursing when its available. ;)
