It doesn't look like it. The article said he grew up in Florida. Good article BTW.

In 2019, crew chief Chad Knaus hired McSwain from JRM to work with him on the No. 24 team. The seven-time championship-winning crew chief was impressed with McSwain from the jump.

“We were in a rebuilding phase for the 24 car at that time,” Knaus, now the vice president of competition, recalled to HendrickMotorsports.com. “We were bringing in a lot of newer people to the environment and trying to build up what the 24 car would be. Brandon (McSwain) was a perfect fit for that.

“He’s extremely detail-orientated. He can take on a lot, prioritize, sort, and get your answers. That is important, especially if you are a crew chief. Having a guy next to you that you can lean on consistently and a lot is invaluable.”

No JD Motorsports cars entered. Team filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy (which allows to continue run while reorganizing debt) in April. Johnny Davis was allowed to continue to run the team on a break-even budget. TBD if it ends up in Chapter 7 liquidation. Listed debts approx $436K.

Some Kaulig crew chief changes in Xfinity. Kevin Walter moves from Josh Williams to SVG. Eddie Pardue now with Williams. Former SVG crew chief Bruce Schlicker stepped down from that role (his decision).

You would think that after knowing that Logano had to teach the 15's crew chief how tire air pressures worked you would have figured out the 15 car is a ****box, but I guess not. You continue to post it up like it is something. Ha Ha Ha, ho ho ho look the 15 yuk yuk.

Both of you that have a history. Ya want me to go back and pull up the previous xfinity dog and pony shows to jog your memory? It is getting a bit old. Hailie hasn't been in the series for weeks, the car is junk, it has been all year.

My comment was only that I'd forgotten Berry and Deegan had been in the car. Nothing more or less. No judgment of car or previous drivers.
 
My point was just that Lawless Alan isn't any better and is probably worse in the talent departmen.
