2024 Next Gen Car

Interesting....David Wilson mentioned that the current SMT was born from Race View. Toyota took the subscription available to the public, and then let their software engineers have at it....and the rest is history....

I'm for going with the smaller tire/wheel. It's the easiest/cheapest to change. More HP if that doesn't help. Goodyear will be able to continue to produce rock hard ones which is about all they are willing to make, and the boys can slide them in the corners.

750 to 800 HP will solve all issues, no other change necessary, except maybe go back to the previous generation of race car. More off throttle time more driver input. JMHO

Back in the day when the cars were off the ground, the trailing car had the advantage by drafting to the lead car and easily passing. Maybe try getting the cars off the ground a bit.

Don't worry I'm sure teams are already burning the midnight oil to figure out some way to manipulate this for a performance gain

And then ask NASCAR to cover the cost of this kind of innovation during charter negotiations, while also continuing to escalate costs.

I know the people in charge want NASCAR to be successful. What is the push behind this awful car? The racing sucks and the fixes seem pretty easy.

You could just take the Xfinity cars at this point make them the cup cars and it would be real racing again.

It's not Nascar as much as it is the teams. Owners refuse to make changes because of the costs associated with it

Just dump the brake & wheel package. Go back t a 15" steel wheel with inner liners. NASCAR pays for the parts. They decided to recreate the wheel (not talking about the actual wheels now) and built a road racing chassis to run on oval tracks. It ain't working. It's complete garbage. Own the mistake and fix it.

Safety crew with an air tank.

Thought it would be hydraulic. Maybe use the cars power steering pump to power it? Have a valve activated by an official.

Compressed air is much cleaner and tidier. No liquid leaks or spills. No need for oil lines from the front of the engine to the rear shocks.

And … the engine doesn’t have to be running to employ the air system. A hydraulic system doesn’t enjoy that luxury.
