NASCAR switches exclusively to Ticketmaster

While I understand the desire to streamline the ticket buying process, aligning with Live Nation who is currently under DOJ indictment in the US and UK for anti-trust monopolistic practices is probably not a good look.

Absolutely awful. Add 25% to the cost of every ticket. Attendance will drop from this move.

In the video I saw about this announcement they had this example from Bristol. For a purchase with 4 tickets, the fees were basically the cost of a 5th ticket.

I ordered my tickets for the xfinity race 3 or 4 months ago.
4 Tickets $75 each.
No parking or anything else, just the tickets all of the added fees can be seen on the image

Plus 30 states and AGs joined the suit.
 
Another company that adds only cost to the product, not any value. Sounds EXACTLY like the kind of operation the current NASCAR leadership would embrace. I would say vote with your feet fans, but I imagine most will just cave in like the team owners did.
 
TM is easy to use. But their fees are bad. But so are other ticket companies.
 
What a horrible decision. Ticketmaster is known for setting up bots to purchase tickets the second they go on sale, and then listing them as resale tickets for 2-10x the original sale amount.

Plus LiveNation is known for charging ridiculous food & drink prices at their venues and has been sued many times for wage and tip stealing from concession workers.

An all-around horrible company
 
I bought a ticket to WWE recently and paid a “premium fee.” Unfortunately it was on there even after deciding to purchase directly from the box office. Found out from my brother that I basically paid $10 extra to sit in an aisle seat. Verified it by checking the ticket price for the seat next to mine, and yep…no premium fee on that one. Last time I get tricked into doing that.
 
I have skipped plenty of concerts due to ticket sales going thru TM. Sounds like I'll be doing the same now with NASCAR races
 
So far I have delt Direct with Daytona, Atlanta, Charlotte and Bristol, no issues.

If I am reading this correctly. In the future no matter where you buy the ticket TM is getting a cut ?
