Silly Season 2025

That is by far the best ride he's had at the Cup level. I'm not expecting anything crazy, perhaps similar performance to Ryan Preece.

Kaulig is going backward. There is no reason to have Ty Dillon in that car.
Lets face it Hemric didn't set the world on fire, I'm curious to see if Dillion will be worse. I would think if Dillion didn't bring money somebody messed up something terrible. There is plenty of talent in the lower series that can't bring money that could drive circles around Dillion.

Who had RWR going legit and Kaulig going to the ride buying model on their bingo cards? Anyone? Really?
Several years back this forum was extremely hard on RWR. I was always hopeful they were building a foundation for better things to come. Looks like that happened. Before RWR I was really pulling for TBR, Tommy Baldwin Racing but he wasn’t able to make it work.

Well since RCR and Kaulig are on the same Campus looks like Pop Pop is gonna get his way.

I looked at Hemric and Dillon's Cup records both racing for Kaulig. Dillon only had 7 races for Kaulig this year compared to a full season for Hemric, but I frankly don't see much difference. Nepotism wins.

Not really, Richard doesnt own Kaulig

Childress supplies Kaulig Racing with its engines, among other things.
The roof over their heads, technical data and info AND We think he (Ty) will be instrumental in continuing our Cup program in alliance with Richard Childress Racing.

Fans Accuse Richard Childress of "Nepotism" After Grandson's Shocking Cup Return at Chevy Ally

:idunno: After struggling with Spire Motorsports and failing to secure a top-10 finish in 2023, Ty Dillon found himself without a team in 2024. He joined Rackley W.A.R. Racing in the Truck Series for a full-time season, but after disappointing results, he was replaced by Dawson Sutton just days before NASCAR’s Kansas race. However, Dillon is set to make his seventh Cup start this Sunday, driving Kaulig Racing’s #16 Chevy.

Honeycutt, at 21 years-of-age, has competed in a part-time schedule behind the wheel of the No. 45 Chevrolet this season, notching five top-10 results in 10 starts. He produced standout showings at Kansas Speedway, where he finished fourth in both races, and Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he was in contention for the race win before pit road issues relegated him to seventh.

Great to have another Kvapil in the series again.

Full-time Xfinity ROTY candidates next year:

Nick Sanchez (Big Machine)
Carson Kvapil (JRM)
Connor Zilisch (JRM)
Daniel Dye (Kaulig)
Christian Eckes (Kaulig)
William Sawalich (JGR)*
Taylor Gray (JGR)**

* Sawalich was announced as having a three-year deal with JGR in 2023, with the third year being full-time Xfinity. Not confirmed yet but if they follow the outlined plan he should be there next season.
** Gray is also strongly rumored to move up, but rumors nonetheless at this point.

That’s a fantastic rookie class next season, the best in many years, and it could probably only be made better if Toyota weren’t having Heim dink around in Trucks for another year.

It's going to be a fun season next year in Xfinity.

Justin and the junior drivers should make a great combination for JRM. I'd be surprised if they don't combine for at least 10 wins.

What's the background behind the beef between Corey and Ty?
Wonder if Corey could jump ship to another manufacturer soon.

They have had Heim doing full time trucks and driving a slower yota in Xfinity this year. Next year he has signed up for the same. It's a mystery to me why he hasn't looked around, maybe he has. :idunno:

It goes back to ARCA or something didn't like how Ty got raced.

But not to the extent that KDB goes to Kaulig so Ty can get in the 8.

Can you imagine how bad they'd be with just the two Dillons

There was a time when I thought Ty deserved a shot in the 8. He had performed decently in the RCR affiliated Geico 13 for several years. I thought he did better than Casey Mears had in that car. But, RCR put Hemric in the 8. Now, ironically, when Ty doesn't appear to deserve any decent cup ride he replaces Hemric at Kaulig. Maybe Richard is trying to make up for never giving Ty a shot in an RCR ride in Cup.
