dumb down nascar 2025 viewing

Tru tv & Max?
I never really watched practice and qualifying, unless I was @ the track.
I have prime, but rarely utilize it for NASCAR. That's just me though

I won't learn until I need to. Why clutter my mind with uninteresting B.S.. That floats some people's boat, I could care less.

Amazon is expecting to add new subscribers. A percentage will try and like the other programming, and decide to stick around. Others, like me, will watch five races and cancel. And some will watch the races and forget to cancel.

It's the same reason broadcast networks would put some races on their sports outlets on cable - to get people to nag their cable companies to add those channels.

Seriously doubt you get all of the practice and qualifying plus all of the races.
Was countering his YouTube being the best option. I tried it. Sling did what I needed for about 2/3 cost. I have Prime. Discounted Prime due to both SNAP & being a senior. Sometimes poor financial planning works out just fine.

There is always a catch it seems. That is why I call them weasels.

Most people can probably pick up their local stations with an antenna so not a big deal.

I can't at all. I've even installed one of those big ass multidirectional 360° antennas and was only able to pick up ION Television, PBS, and either ABC/FOX or CBS/CW, but never both at the same time.

Same here antennas are pretty worthless. Nothing is remotely simple and Nascar broadcasting has added to that. I don't give a rats ass about which billionaire is doing what, bottom line it's a big hassle and yet another subscription.

Did you know that many of the new cars require subscriptions in order to turn on certain features so you not only pay for them up front, but then you have to pay to use them?

We got a security system at work. Several cameras and a box for recording. After we had already set it up and been using it, they changed their software up and you now have to have a subscription to access your recordings. They're doing this with computers and all sorts of things, making you buy subscriptions. Pretty soon, you won't even be able to check weather radar without a subscription, especially if the National Weather Service is privatized (which is the goal of a major political party and its candidate for President of the United States).

I'm glad I have two older vehicles and don't have to deal with that ****. The amount of buttons on the steering wheel alone intimidates me. I like having the buttons for controlling music, but that's about it.

And now they're signing deals with Google to make it to where the "infotainment systems" would only use Google and you can't use Apple CarPlay and can't properly sync your iPhone with them. Make no mistake, if I'm ever in the market for a new car and I can't use CarPlay, that's a dealbreaker for me.

And after reviewing the AirTV is DOES need s usable signal from an antenna. I'd forgotten how it worked. It just groups all your channels into the guide. I have it. Don't keep Sling active all the time. Right now it's paused. I'll reboot first of the month to better watch the election.

I'm glad I don't keep up with P&Q anymore. I'm sure there was a way to make this more complicated. Maybe if they try harder in the next contract, they can have every race of every series on a different delivery method with no overlap.

Ford try to sell me that. I wasn't interested in any of the features, declined the sub and attendant links to the mothership. I drove for 45+ years without those features, so I wasn't going to miss what I'd never had.

I have Xfinity with the voice command TV remote.

At about the time that the race is about to start I tell it "NASCAR".

If the race is available on my package I watch the race, if not, I don't.

When fans were asking for NASCAR to go back to the 90's, this is not what they asked for. Remember back then a race could be on a different network from one week to the next. You'd have CBS, then TBS, then ESPN, then TNN, then ABC, etc. At least these are grouped together and not rotating every week. Today's fans would go nuts.

Thanks, but those deals require a minimum 6-month commitment. I'll only be on Prime long enough to watch the races, then drop it again.
I buy from Amazon at least half-dozen times month. That's main reason I have Prime. Seldom watch the video and have never used the music feature. Costs me about 8 bucks month for no commercial movies & free/fast shipping.

Exactly. We have a political party that encourages outrage. Bunch of people love it, apparently.

NASCAR's never been on Prime before.

TruTV on cable and Max on streaming. ALL TNT Sports programming is on Max.
I'm excited for the video quality on Prime. The Thursday Night Football quality and sound is unbelievable. Folks can always go to the races as well, the sound quality at the track is still the best ;)

I'm sure it will be.

Also worth nothing that TNT Sports broadcasts on Max are also 4K and Dolby Atmos. I can't get that with my plan though because I'm on a legacy plan and they won't allow us to upgrade.

Game Creek Video. They are the backbone of major sports broadcasting in America, and the best in the business. However, It takes the right people to utilize the technology.

so what is going to take to watch all the cup, ifinity, trucks in 2025.
how many apps will we have to sign up for?, free? or how much?
can we record any of these?
will any races me on regular tv
iam old and just want to turn on the tv on and watch races, thanks
I agree.

My question is about NBC Sports App. Only way it works, from what I can find, you have to have a cable sub/Dish/&(&&)(*? You can't purchase a sub to NBC Sports app. You know, like every farking thing else on streaming platforms. What is the purpose of this app? Why not put the content on Peacock or ???????? You PAY extra to use Peacock so...?

Is this crap going to be part of the 2025 dealio?

Yeah, they appear to be two competing apps with some content overlap. I don't get it either.

AirTv2 just adds local channels into guide with streaming. Oddly even though CW shows up no signal. Had to move the coax back to TV. Weird. After some thought, not sure what the benefit of AirTV is? I mean maybe saves one "click" with remote? I don't stay on Sling 24/7. Actually don't like the front page. Just seems clunky to me. Not that hard to hit Home screen of TV, select TV Guide, scroll to CW. Basically same procedure thru Sling. Meh...
