Yeah idk why that sent as an attachment lolSince you posted as an attachment, it’s harder to quote the post @SlicedBread22 but that’s the season as a whole, which yes is good. But you can’t overlook the final race was down over last year which was down from the previous year. Two years in a row now it’s dropped for the championship race.
I know I won’t ever get what I want again, at least not for a very long time, that being no Chase, No Playoffs. But if we gotta have some sort of BS, I’ll take the OG Chase back, which I even doubt we get it back. I just really don’t like the whole one race deal. Like I won’t take anything away from the champion, it’s whatever, it’s the rules. But just because something is the rules, doesn’t mean I have to like it, or think it’s the right way to do things, which is where I stand. I watch the races because I like the races, which is why I wouldn’t care if they crowned a champion with 2-3 races to go, because there’s still a race to be ran, and still a winner of that race to be had. So I’ll watch either way also. But I really hope for something that’s more than a one race championship race.Yeah idk why that sent as an attachment lol
The viewership could be a few things for that race. Could be people who dont like that format. Could be people who don't like Penske, or Phoenix. Or it could be that certain drivers didn't make the final 4. Either way I'm still happy that overall viewership is up. It seems nascar is thinking about making some changes to the format but I doubt they'll be huge changes. Hopefully if that's the issue it'll help. I know I be watching no matter what lol
Because they are bullies. Why is NA$CAR in court? Asking for some friends.
I'm still not expecting anything other than a fresh coat of whitewash on the fence, Aunt Polly.I can only begin to speculate if changes are made, what kind. Thats kind of a shocker to me if indeed changes are made.
ain,t that the dam truth!!!!!!!!Turd polishing. Their playoff in a playoff next year will be as exciting as playing guess what channel the race is on this week.

This format is what allowed Larson to miss a race to do something else and it ultimately cost him a championship, despite being the best driver in points and stats all year.
In a full season format, I’m pretty sure he comes back to the 600 and skips the 500.I have no issue with a driver having to decide between his day job and extracurriculars. I love the Indy/Charlotte double but Larson made a choice.
The same could happen in any format. In a full season format, he would have left a ton of points on the table. In a 2004-2013 scenario, he still loses out on the points for being 1st at the points reset.
In a full season format, I’m pretty sure he comes back to the 600 and skips the 500.
Definitely. So I hope weather isn’t a factor next year, I wanna see him actually get a chance to pull off the double.I'd think that's going to happen going forward regardless of the format.
Larson in the 500 is a done deal already for next year.
I don't think Kyle really cares. Championships don't mean what they used to. Now you measure a driver by wins and possibly final 4 appearances, that's itCorrect, and it's been stated that if weather causes an issue, the 600 will be the priority.
I can only begin to speculate if changes are made, what kind. That's kind of a shocker to me if indeed changes are made.
Yeah I pretty much think Kyle is about getting in as many races as possible until he can't race anymore. He does his best, but if he doesn't win it isn't the end of the world, he will be racing somewhere else the next week. I think he is going to Australia pretty soon to race down there over the winter break.I don't think Kyle really cares. Championships don't mean what they used to. Now you measure a driver by wins and possibly final 4 appearances, that's it
I think Final 4 appearances are pretty prestigious accomplishments in themselves, we'll see if thats the case if the format is changed once again.I don't think Kyle really cares. Championships don't mean what they used to. Now you measure a driver by wins and possibly final 4 appearances, that's it
Logano was the first driver who finished 15th or worse in the regular season to make the Championship 4 let alone win the title. His championship generated the discussion on whether the regular season should mean more.
Last year, his Penske teammate Ryan Blaney won once in the regular season but then twice in the playoffs.
"The message we're trying to send is make the regular season matter more," said team owner and driver Denny Hamlin. "Those 26 races — it's proving to not be that substantial to winning a championship, and that's not something you want.
"My message to NASCAR would be, ‘Make the regular season worth more.' ... Because right now, over the last three years, you would say that the champion didn't really have to do much in the regular season, and that's just probably not good."
"The points format should be reflected on wins, and the tiebreakers should be the final race, and that should be it," said 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski. "I have a hard time as a competitor and a fan of the sport, understanding how drivers with the most wins routinely don't win championships.
"I just don't think that feels right to me."
"We're not the NFL," Keselowski said. "We keep getting caught up in comparisons to other sports."

Who's to say that both of those teams could have caught fire in the playoffs, but were passed by a couple of win and you are in'ers.Exactly, it's absurd that a team in 34th makes the playoffs and two teams in 11th and 12th get kicked out.
