College Football 2024

Even if Georgia wins this, they should probably drop to 3 or 4. They ain’t playing like the number 2 team
Rankings still don’t really mean a whole lot tbf, nor we will we have seen the set of rankings that actually matter until Tuesday night. But that’s a fair assessment.

I think its safe to say Carson Beck has an issue with the first half production.
This is the 3rd or 4th game this year with a sluggish start. 2nd half is always a lot better.
Hopefully Kirby knows how to fix it. Maybe more runs than passes , I don't know.
I would just bench him for the first half of the next game and tell him the first half Beck doesn't meet expections.

Let him think about it and make his own mental adjustments.

Then let Beck start in the third quarter, provided his replacement didn't rock the world in the first half.

Finally the transfer walk-on from Yale makes a play that reminds you he’s a transfer walk-on from Yale. Ball game.

Honestly, we need the rain. Not a drop since Helene.
Dawgs got this.
We do too here in Greenville SC(about 45 min from rhe State line).

I was born at the old Ty Cobb hospital in Royston Georgia on a Saturday night in October. It is a three or four red light town, and the Doctor told my mom I made him miss the Dawgs game.

Tar Heels defeat the Seminoles 35-11. This is a psychologically broken program at this point. An absolute 180 from last year.

I have never been through Royston but its on the bucket list. Yes, I heard a pretty good baseball player grew up there.
Greenville is a pretty town. Back in the day I had a few business meetings in Easley and would also go watch a nephew
play the Greenville team when he was in minor league ball. When I think of Greenville my mind goes straight
to a wonderful band, Marshall Tucker.

What an absolute dud from Clemson tonight…puts SMU firmly in the driver’s seat for an ACC CG berth in their first season in the league.

SEC still feels like the most wide-open P4 league to me. I would guess it comes down to the winners of the Texas @ A&M and Tennessee @ Georgia games, but it’s still not quite that simple. LSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama can all factor in there as well.

I think (and hope) this will be the new normal because of the transfer portal. More than anything its hurt the depth of the top programs while spreading that talent around IMO.
Hard to say so far, imo. The portal and one-time free transfer rule had already been in effect for a few years last year when there was a historically low number of upsets, including zero upsets of unranked teams over AP Top 5 teams for the first time across the BCS/CFP eras. I’d say it’s more likely we’re experiencing two dramatic outliers on either end of the spectrum and it’ll correct somewhere back to normal within the next few years.

Great topics of conversation but of little other value. If #4 BYU played #5 OSU would anybody bet money line on BYU? Same for Alabama or Texas against the U. Qualified that the U fans are always delusional and think they are the greatest team in history so I'm excluding fans of the teams.

I mean Alabama lost to Vanderbilt, I'd definitely bet against them.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are a still long way from being elite or a national title threat. But they have improved a lot this year and they becoming a good team, headed in the right direction.
It is fun to watch.

I missed a hell of a day…fall weddings, man. SMU in sole possession of 1st in the ACC. Colorado in Prime position to make the Big XII CG. An absolute mess in the SEC. Indiana winning 10 games for the first time ever, with more to play for. Who the hell woulda thunk it?

It’s honestly pretty crazy that this is the first time since the COVID season that Georgia lost to someone besides Alabama.

College football is great. Another day of 12+ hours of great action, culminating in a dramatic Holy War finish. I hope there is College football in heaven.

I know they have zero ****** chance lmao but I’m cheering for Mercer against Alabama, because Mercer is my hometown college. I legit use to live just off Mercer University Drive.

Brian Kelly is gonna get tarmac’d at Gainesville Regional.

Napier already got the vote of confidence for next year but he’s definitely staying now. Beat woeful FSU and you’re back in a bowl.
