College Football 2024

So good to see the USC Gamecocks playing well, getting a big win. They are becoming a good team

Good luck trying to make sense of this league. The SECCG tiebreakers and CFP rankings are going to be a mess.

This season has been crazy with the last few weeks of upsets. Who is winning the SEC? Who is making the 12 team playoff? My Noles are so bad they can't even whistle for any new recruits with how awful they've been this year.

Can Indiana go undefeated?

We will learn a lot more about IU Saturday. My guess is they lose but play close enough to not drop appreciably in the rankings.

And Julian Lewis verbally committed to CU. Little surprised but also not surprised at all lol. Gotta think Deion plans to stay otherwise Lewis goes elsewhere and I hope he does stay. UNLESS Deion goes to the Cowboys because having that circus in our division would fantastic as an Iggles fan.

In reality I think there’s a very very slim chance he goes to Dallas.

Billy Napier closing strong in Gainesville the past couple of weeks, he’s proved he deserved to come back next season.

Ole Miss has lost to LSU, Kentucky, and Florida. Let's stop the playoff talk BS. Dart forgot what team he plays for
I’ve been telling fellow Ole Miss fans that us and A&M are the same, no matter how much money we throw at it they’re never gonna be great. 9-10 wins is really just the ceiling for this program.

If I were a top 3-5 wealthiest guys on the planet I’d shell out some pocket change for the football team of my wife’s Alma mater too.
I think this his wife number 5 so hopefully there isn't a number 6. We also have the Dolphins owner as a major donor. So hopefully with those two billionaires and Portnoy we can compete in NIL. Michigan was way behind in NIL until this.

Alright I need to say it and I apologize for being the no fun guy…

Storming the field has jumped the shark 99% of the time now. For example #21 ASU beating #14 is not storm the field worthy. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
I generally think it should be allowed since opportunities for a graduating class at any one given school are few and far between - like I really don’t remember the last time ASU beat a top 15 team, maybe when they still had Jayden Daniels and Brandon Aiyuk - but students have gotten so bold with what they do once they’re on the field that I wouldn’t really mind if a player just clocked someone at this point and implemented some procedural change to it.

Feel for the kid from ATM that dropped the ball that hit him in the hands.

Yea something bad is going to happen eventually, unfortunately.

So many fraud teams. 12-team CFP was at least four too many.

Hopefully the fraud teams that get in get blasted on the field so we can upgrade them from fraud to confirmed fraud lol.

Bama and Ole Miss should absolutely be out of the 12-team but we'll see that was an ugly scoreline Oklahoma had on Bama, Indiana should be in imo I hope they get another chance anyway pretty tall order to have to go into Buckeye country against the odds on national champion favorite, they looked strong early then the wheels came off after the punter hand slippage gift, they're 10-1 with one blemish game they dismantled everyone else give them another shot at it since we're now in the business of doing redo's.

It's been a pretty carnage-eee type of year across the board, not nearly as top heavy with the top 5 as last year, last year's top 5 was insanely good. I don't mind the 12-team if they were going to go expansion for the bye rewards, but my gawd stay at that max plz, and is at least a little security blanket for the Boise State SMU types that they don't get shafted in less obvious years. The one saving grace is it all at least gets settled on the field.

Oregon and Texas seem to be at the top of the chart on paper but even they have had their moments, Notre Dame lurking, should be a pretty wide open playoff for the taking.

The fact the SEC only plays 8 conference games is literally insane
Iirc a lot of the bigger programs in the league are actually in favor of 9, the hold up is that all the traditional bottom feeders (Kentucky/Vanderbilt/Miss St/Ole Miss were all staunchly in favor of 8) don’t because they can go 2-6 in league play and still make a bowl, and ESPN has declined to pay for the extra TV inventory so far.

Thank you ! I thought I was the only one thinking this. Ok , when Vandy beat Bama at home
and the student body threw the goalpost in the river , that was kinda badass.

Memphis over Tulane would be great news for the Mountain West and Big XII. Hopefully the Wave pull it together here.

Half the Big XII breathes a collective sigh of relief.

So long as both teams win this weekend, Boise/UNLV in the MWC CG should be a de facto CFP play-in game now.

seemingly await chaos as the season nears the end where we find out plenty of curiosity with who makes the first ever 12 team playoff.
