Possible changes to Xfinity car

Yeah, Xfinity normally puts on the best race during a race weekend, would hate to see that messed up with some dumb changes.

I will say though I think fans overrate the racing in this series. The races are shorter & the drivers are younger, that alone is going to lead to crazy things. If they had to do 500 laps/miles you'd see things a lot more dialed back like in the Cup series. I would agree though that short tracks are much better in this series, but a symmetrical car is going to be crap on those types of places since you don't have a yaw to push the air towards the infield. It's like racing jet skis on a pond, they could probably fix this with more HP, yawing them out or getting the cars off the ground a bit for that type of track

Nascar quietly last year took the yaw out of the Xfinity cars. Nobody here noticed or said anything about it. Now the Trucks? That is a different story. They yaw the heck out of them on the larger tracks. I agree with the drivers being younger and the risks and mistakes they make does make their series entertaining. The Trucks this year were in the same category.
 
Sometimes, I think Brian France is pulling the strings from behind the curtain. SMH

Did they? It still seemed skewed a bit while watching
 
I've never cared what they call it. It's a fun competitive series to watch. There is a lot of turnover, more mistakes and that is interesting to me seeing who has the talent.

Whenever somebody asks me about how the different series work and I know they are just trying to be nice and make conversation I always compare it to the football model. High School is equivalent to Trucks, college is equivalent to Xfinity and NFL is equivalent to Cup series and you typically progress through in that order. It’s a nice easy comparison for people that truly don’t care but are just trying to get a baseline understanding. I’ll usually throw in the caveat that it’s not exactly equal with sponsorships and such.

One reason I prefer the baseball model is some of the X teams are 'farm teams' for their parent Cup organizations, and some drivers are being developed for specific manufacturers. Another reason is it lets me compare ARCA to single-A ball. And unlike college football, there's no pretense these guys are in it for any reason other than to make money.

And part of my preference is that I once actually cared about baseball 40+ years ago. I've never cared about college sports so the comparison never occurred to me.

Ad a European I usually use the soccer model.
Cup = First League
Xfinity = Second League
Trucks = Third League
