My gosh, what an uncritical article. It reads like she did everything but change her own tires while standing in burning oil.Top 10 finish.
Top-10 finish for Hailie Deegan on single seater debut
Hailie Deegan scored points on her first ever weekend in formula car racing as she secured a top-10 finish in the Formula Regional Americas season finale at COTA, having made significant progress during the course of the event which culminated in a tenth-place finish in challenging...www.racers-behindthehelmet.com
Nice to see you guys are becoming FR America fans now. Her team and the series are counting on it. Truck viewership increased 20% when she raced in it. Sponsors love that kind of thing. My gosh, what an uncritical article. It reads like she did everything but change her own tires while standing in burning oil.
Her practice fastest time was in the first session. She started one race 10th and finished 11th. She started the other in 10th and finished there. Top ten in a fifteen car field where few drivers advanced doesn't seem like that big a deal to me.
Good for her for showing some enthusiasm. I hope her future results will better justify it.

You looked it up so we don't have toFan of all racing.
I wanted to know how many cars were in the field, so I looked it up. Now I know.
Fifteen, for the benefit of everyone else.Fan of all racing.

I agree, but I think she’s taking it more seriously this time around. Lessons learned and all that.So she's actually running some other races to prepare this time?
She should've done that the last four years.

Agree. She's really in Learning mode. I wonder if she thought she "knew it all" in Xfinity and trucks. This is the first video of hers I have ever watched. Funny to see the big guy telling her how to drive but it looks like she's paying attention. Good for her. Open wheel cars might work out for her.
Is a detail like a drivers speed really that important? Are her lap times mentioned in the video?

My apologies for the delayed response.Let's refocus. She has zero experience in open wheel until recently. I think she's got talent, given her performance this soon on.
I'm hope she only gets better.
SoiAlmost to page 80.

My comment was critical of the article, not Deegan directly. It had more spin than a clothes drier. It described everything she did as if it was the best possible action.
Speaking of spinning. When in training pay attention to what the driver coach was saying. He not only was pointing out the things she did well, but also what she could have done better. The bottom line, if you even watched the clip, was at the end of the piece she said she was faster than the previous practicing session. That is the goal of training and practice. My apologies for the delayed response.

I wasn't referring to her recent clip, I was reply to @DanicaFreak regarding the article posted last month. The bottom line, if you even watched the clip,
Same thing applies about the look over here. This clip has 167 thousand views compared to 52 thousand views of the newer one, seventy four hundred likes and again many pages of positive fan interactions (that is why she has sponsors) along with a bonus in the clip(sponsor) ad. Did you know that some of the in the clips ad's pay up to $10,000 dollars, some even more? Once again, it shows the trainer/crew chief critiquing her driving and after an engine exploding and numerous rain delays Haley finished 10th in her first race in the car. I don't expect anything different, but people do see things with different eyes for sure.I wasn't referring to her recent clip, I was reply to @DanicaFreak regarding the article posted last month.

I'd say whatever works for ya. They all sound pretty much the same.I think this is a good benchmark. By the end of the year Hailie should be about on par with Sophia who has way more open wheel experience but showcased less talent than Hailie.
