Yep, lots of space. Gotta be tough having at least some of the wind taken from your sizable sails....but let's not listen to a guy who knows......Wouldn't your BS about Barney be a grand departure against this backdrop? I'm not even that big of a Carl fan....

Carl had the gift of gab, and the back flip didn't hurt for his popularity. Sponsors loved him and so did Nascar, but like you said don't look at the record. :idunno:

I think this speaks to why I hate Hall of Fames in general. When I think of NASCAR greatness, I do not think of Carl Edwards. I think he is full of ****. 100% his plan was to win in 2016, and walk off, but he shat himself on the restart. I posted this to jab at my boy @StandOnIt, but honestly, I don't trust anything he says. He talks way too ****** much. WE loved him though....and WE bitched about the yellow that lead to Carl eventually giving Todd Gordan a smooch on his pit box. BTW.....I don't think he ever wanted to be in a Toyota. He was desperate for a championship.

In some circles, HOF status is a thing... a "guy who hasn't driven in 8 years" is another way to put it.

100% on the fake punch thing. That was creepy given the backdrop of NASCAR's nicest guy.
