The Announcers Thread

Peacock requires a subscription in my area. I have COX cable, and still need to subscribe to Peacock, which I refuse to do . Peacock used to be free up until last Christmas.

Pretty sure I can sacrifice some races. The amount of time watching Peacock vs. the $30.00 for 1 year, I'm sure I'll be OK.
Besides, that $30.00 could buy me some eggs. Some...

I don’t have cable so Peacock and Max, which I get both for free right now, are all I have. Along with my DVD player.

I do the same thing with many programs. We rarely turn the telly on before seven p.m. so record BBC News at 6:30 and watch it later. As for NASCAR races, I normally run through the pre-race b.s. or watch Xfinity and truck races often days after they race. NASCAR night races I watch the following day.

If I can not DVR the race then I will not see the race. I am a busy man and watch the race via DVR when I want to.

You don't need to DVR when streaming, you can start the race whenever you like.

OK, help an old fart out. How does that work?
Instead of the race being recorded on each user's DVR, it's recorded once on the streaming service's storage. Your account has the equivalent of a bookmark. You click the bookmark and the recording is streamed to your device and TV. The race will be on their storage intact without worry of you losing power or connection, and the whole race wil be stored regardless of delays or running past the scheduled end.

Thanks @Charlie Spencer .

Cup practice on now and FS1 sticking with the worst graphics and music package in NASCAR history.

Wild how unpopular these graphics are yet continue to survive.

Oh, the intro. I guess I don't pay attention to it, or block it out as background noise. If that was the worst part of their broadcast, I'd be delighted.

It doesn't even make the top-10. The graphics and music are so symbolic of how cartoonish these telecasts are altogether.

I have no issue with the music at all. :idunno:

There are however, several things that do get under my skin. Boyer's repeat of everything the other two say, too many close up shots of one or two cars, talking " points" over and over and over.
For some reason, this music grates my nerves every time I hear it. Even if it's not the top problem with their telecasts.

People are never happy. It could be raining Gold bars, and some one would complain "the bars are too heavy "...

Watching a race in SD in 2025 is a valid complaint my man.

I’ve been watching NASCAR in HD for 21 years. This was a generational downgrade. CW needs to steam the races on the app as originally promised.

Be thankful you get to watch the race . Some don't have the luxury.
They have to choose between races or a dozen eggs...

Btw CW is no longer going to air the races live on the app.

even in Canada I would have had to subscribe to watch yesterdays race, I just watched the highlights during curling.
