2025 Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

Dennis Hauger made a big statement in Indy NXT first practice; if he adapts to ovals well I can’t see any way he isn’t the title favorite. Hopefully Myles Rowe has a big year and keeps the championship interesting. Nice run from him today as well.

Pole for Scotty Mac. Really good result for MSR, who lock out the second row in the first race of their alliance with CGR. O’Ward will start all the way back in 23rd.

Well, it's chilly and we have been busting our humps for most of the week. Let's waste an hour watching my first NXT race

Does everyone have to sign-in to FoxSports every time you use it or just me? Have to enter a code before you enter your login to provider which then requires you to search for Sling...it's just a freaking hassle.

I can see bird watching in my future.

Newgarden's right front changer does wonders for her firesuit.
She’s a beast too. I’ll never understand why NASCAR doesn’t allow strategy to play as big of a role in road course racing like IndyCar. This is all fantastic, road course races aren’t meant to be long and filled with planned cautions

Throwing the yellow at stage breaks destroys road course strategy. If Fox actually shows all ads in Cup side by side this year, there's no reason to pause.

They tried it in 2023 and it was fantastic.
But NASCAR preferred 10-wide guaranteed-wreck restarts because apparently that's what the fans want.

It was horrific. I want to be entertained not watch math problems. Over reliance on strategy takes away most of my interest in Indycars.

F1's best years during my time as a fan were from 2011- mid-2013 when they had to stop three or four times most races. Drivers who could manage tires were able to make a real difference even if they were in a midpack car.

In NASCAR they didn't even have different tire compounds in the year they got rid of stage cautions.
What was difficult to understand was the stage winner restarting 25th and going nowhere every damn time.

Indy 2021 and COTA 2023 were dreadful to watch were it took an hour to complete the last 10 laps
