They're gimmick races. Daytona 500 has prestige but in the gen 7 theyre absolute gimmick track position/survival races.

I could see calling Daytona mostly luck and not a “real race” but current Atlanta takes a lot of skill. As does road racing. A pit road blunder leaving the wheel loose doesn’t mean this isn’t a “real race.”
