I wonder how much money DOGE would save if it slowed down and planned what it was doing instead of having to reverse many of its decisions.

I've always favored a law that requires a budget to be passed by August 15 (four months after taxes are due). After that date, no other legislation not related to the budget can be introduced, and legislators are required to be in their chambers 24/7 with no breaks or holidays until they pass one.
