See, I have never had a problem with any of the systems unlike SOU or is it MOU....not sure. I don't give three ****s what system we use....I just like them all, so I won't sign up for the bitching and whining crowd. I really like this sport.

sorry Rev, you are going to have to translate SOU and MOU out of yota speak. The standard answer from the constant complainers when cornered is always "the reason I complain is because I care" and Nascar needs to schedule their games to be finished by football. The Playoffs and the new bracket tournament are a big hit. Have you filled out your bracket yet?

Not a good week at all for Kyle damn. He said JR's crew chief thing was for publicity. Even when he explained himself, the JR fans are calling for his retirement or his head whichever comes first.
 
Ol' Kyle lost about half of the goodwill he had with the JR crack. He was right but it's JR dam it.

 
It appears the pole wasn't as heavily weighed with old people as Wallace was claiming. Glucks pole is pretty similar in it's results with over 50 thousand voting. The current clown show being the lowest favored in both poles.

So for 22 years now there has been a playoff. That's going to be old school for many current NASCAR fans. If NASCAR was to change to 36 races how long would it be for the fans to say we want to go back to the way its always been?
As much as I like the good old days, I have come around to the playoffs and stage breaks. At this stage of my life this is entertainment for me and the more entertaining the better.

Personally I would like to have a points system that if I am pulling for a driver and he is 10th in the overall points and he is running top 5 in a race and the booth monkeys and I know because we both know the simple points system that he can potentially move up 2 spots in the points because the ones he is passing have wrecked out of the race that is the reality I want, not some fairy tale made for TV B.S.

It’s a shame that some people still use terms like “stick and ball.”

Sports are sports. Football and golf have little in common too. Auto racing isn’t some special snowflake.

The mindset to winning a championship is the same, but if I’m trying to build a Super Bowl team I’m not asking Tiger Woods to draft the players. Each sport is unique in its own way, that’s also why a playoffs for auto racing never made sense to me. Why was that based off other sports ?

There are very valid arguments against a playoff in the Cup Series without resorting to the “stick and ball” nonsense. Playoffs in other sports help control for the fact that you can’t play every team during the regular season, which is obviously not the case for Cup.
