IRP is a better track for stock cars.
It's not an 'either / or' choice. Both series have run there before. A perfectly good short track that would be packed for Xfinity instead of them running around an almost empty IMS. Might even give credence to the prestige of the Cup series at IMS if the second-stringers weren't running there too.

It's great that IRP is back on the truck schedule and I wouldn't mind seeing Xfinity return there but they did put on some decent races at IMS with the drafting package.
Are they running that again this year?
ARCA on FS-1 Friday and the Trucks right after that on FS-1 should pull a decent crowd for IRP. Both races should be pretty good I'm betting. Xfinity will pull a decent crowd at Indy. The seat counters will think they are having a field day as that place swallows up 20 thousand fans easily. Larson and Zilisch should draw some fans into the Xfinity race.
Mayer fastest on the pole for the Haas bunch. Haas 1st and 3rd on the starting grid.
Katherine qualified 24th? You go, girl.
I think that is the first track she has raced at before.

Spire is looking pretty good right now, strong runs from McDowell and Hocevar. Sure, Haley might be lagging by comparison, but that's still above several other full-timers in Cup.

Ah ok, thanks. I saw part of qualifying and saw them messing with the brakes as I was leaving, but didn't think it was that serious.

I wonder if they run a Richmond type of set-up at Iowa and Dillion was strong there in a Cup car last year.

Zilisch spotting everybody a race because of injury and he should win the title outright. It's a clown show to have a final 4, much like Heim losing the jackpot race in the Trucks. Frustrating.
Hocevar out McDowell in the 11.
