The new upcoming NASCAR game is very promising

I am dragging around with buying the Nascar25 game.
I got a good deal with a new PSP console with a UMD (disc drive) but I missed out on buying any actual games that may have been sale at the time.

I will buy soon just waiting to see if they will reduce the $59.99 price before Christmas, or perhaps lower it a few days after the holidays.
Yeah, my Black Friday gaming purchase this year was the wheel and pedals. I didn't bite on any game sales there may have been.

We're so close to Christmas now that if you can wait for NASCAR 25, you might as well just wait and see if it goes on sale. Of course, if you can afford it, the game is well worth the full price IMO.

Okay, I was liking the wheel and pedals at first, but I'm feeling like Greg now. Despite taking the time to try to get my sitting position right, I can't get physically comfortable with them.

They're too much of a workout and almost always leave my right leg hurting afterwards. It would probably be better if I had one of those Playseats or something similar that are more adjustable, but I don't have the budget or space for one of those.

I really tried to make this work, but things didn't quite pan out. Oh well. It is what it is.

The idea of not using a DD wheel and load cell pedals still bothers me, I just want to BS myself into it feeling as real as possibile.

I will start with the controller and stick with it for the indefinite future. But hopefully one day I will work up to a low grade PS5 wheel and pedals.

If I didnt have so many injuries to the upper thorasic and nerve damage to the right shoulder area I would be going for the iracing realism. It would be as a much of a mission to compensate for the unrealized dreams as it would be for any current fun or pleasure (even for something that is still just a sim). If I can
ever get past the physical pain, I will be back to pursuing that option.

But fow it is all a PSP5 and controller fun deal.

I hear that. My previous lack of desire to use a wheel and pedals had been formed from my experience over 15 years ago using a wheel and pedals with my Xbox 360. It had a lap mount for the wheel, and I always found it cumbersome to set up and use. I would get tired of it so quickly and just want to use the controller, so that's what I ended up doing.

With simcade games like NASCAR 25, it really doesn't matter whether you use a controller or a wheel and pedals. Just use whatever you're most comfortable with and enjoy the most. Gaming should be fun, not frustrating, and certainly not painful.

At least I was smart enough to get the cheapest Logitech wheel and pedals set I could get on a really good Black Friday sale, along with a cheap adjustable stand, and didn't spend hundreds more on a fancier setup. I had heard over and over that the G29 was a good way to decide whether you want to do the wheel and pedals thing long-term or not. In that regard, it served its purpose, and I'm glad I tried it.

I don't think I will get to use "Cooter Johnsons Juniors III" as my NASCAR 25 driver name or team name (I think they are limited to 16 characters).
It just has a highly desirable uncouth sleazy greasy hick-a-fied vibe.

Cooter is currently being advised by his legal team, that his existence and the right is essentially being denied. That it is essentially the same as being denied to never ever own a Charter irregardless of performance or merits.

I just started a career on a whim, just to see what it's like. I might have said this before, but the intro with Dale Jr. is excellent.

It's hilarious to see the other drivers whining on social media after the races whenever you look at them funny on the track, like this is F1 and not NASCAR. Get outta here, crybabies. :XXROFL:
