2027 NASCAR Hall of Fame

It's a shame Phillips didn't go in when he was alive. He just recently passed away. Just like it would have been a shame if they had elected Biffle. I'm not fond of putting people into any hall of fame right after they pass.
 
Seems like there are more old timers outside of driving who could be inducted and maybe they will be, IDK. Let me know when Frank Kimmel gets inducted for his ARCA dominance.

Larry passed in 2004.

I would be fine with that, but would the NASCAR Hall of Fame consider someone who's success came before NASCAR owned the series? I don't know the answer to that. I personally got to watch Frank kick everyone's ass around the moon for four years in person. Frank and Bill were always good to us people lower down on the food chain.
 
I have stated every time the topic comes up that the Hall of Fame should work hard to try to induct worthy people while they're still alive, instead of waiting for them to pass and suddenly giving them their due. In the case of someone like Greg Biffle, you can't predict a tragedy, but for the older generation, I think it should be a serious consideration.
 
Until Smokey Yunick is inducted, the Hall of Fame lacks a certain amount of credibility.

And Greg Biffle should've gotten in before Jeff Burton. Biffle had a Busch and Truck championship, and only two less wins than Burton.
