Everyone keeps telling me how important he is to NASCAR but no one can give me any measurable improvements his involvement has made. I’m perfectly willing to give him credit where credit is due though.

IMO if you’re 35 you only know MJ as a McD’s shill (wow that stuff is garbage) and a shoe huckster. I have no idea if he has his own line of shoes or an endorsement deal. If it was important to me I’d know.

What specific & tangible benefits has NASCAR gained from having an affiliation with MJ? Are there more fans in the stands? Have broadcast ratings improved or has NASCAR’s old demographic seen an improvement? If MJ has not improved those things what has he done?

NASCAR complicates a lot of things but has always been clear concerning the role of charters. Hopefully Nascar will prevail in any legal action

Nascar has never misrepresented the charters to the teams. They’ve always maintained that they own them and the teams can use them until the duration of the broadcast deal. No one ever forced a team to purchase, sell or lease a charter.

NASCAR has zero obligation to even maintain a charter system let alone make them permanent. What specific things has Nascar promised teams and then reneged on? How would you make a case that Nascar has not kept up with their bargain?
