All I know is that I was thrilled for Harrison to win a race. His Mom & Dad were overjoyed and I was happy for them. I don’t pay attention to the playoffs so it doesn’t matter to me when drivers low in the standings win. I can’t wait for Darlington!

5 I’m always happy to see a first time winner but I’m not crazy about plate racing or overtime finishes. I’m glad I watched the race and can’t wait until Darlington.

My bonehead definitely goes to myself. I watched a race that was marred by a bogus caution and a gimmicky overtime finish. I’m pretty easy going but any time I see bogus cautions and overtime’s I go 😡😤🤬

XXX I was watching a race that would have been an 8 or so until the bogus caution and overtime finish. It was like watching a really good movie only to have it screwed up by a Hallmark/Lifetime ending. The overtime gimmick is being used far too often IMO.

Maybe 2-3 charters! For whatever reasons the networks have demanded gimmicks & they write the checks so it’s their call.

The lack of mechanical failures is remarkable considering how fickle the cars were in the 80’s and part of the 90’s. Of course I’m not going to mention any of this to Martin Truex or Ty Gibbs for a little while 😁

Many times drivers are in cars that cannot win so they scrape together the best finish possible. Most of the drivers know if they have a realistic shot at a win shortly after they unload.

I took the comments to mean that it wouldn’t hurt RC to lose a bunch of dough but it would hurt the guys in the shop. I don’t think the OP was saying there should be no penalties because it hurts everyone on the team.
