I do think that there are times when a track owner, the teams and drivers can work collaboratively. But I also agree that you can’t give the drivers free reign. If so we probably wouldn’t race at Daytona, Atlanta or Talladega.
I wouldn’t like it either. I still think it is best not to engage someone like Hamlin publicly as these disputes are better handled behind closed doors.
The whole exchange between Hamlin & Smith seemed odd. Denny has a right to be concerned about the replave but he should have contacted Smith privately. Smith should not have taken the bait from Hamlin and behaved like a 2 year old. This only my opinion.
I think the NASCAR broadcasts are lacking in many areas and should be improved. However I’ll take this any day over watching taped delayed races on Wide World of Sports

I thought this was a good Richmond race. I deducted 1 point for the overtime ending. It’s like watching a really good movie but the ending is just disappointing. I bet I’m the only person that doesn’t mind a race ending under caution😁
I have both my Super Beetles & Standard Beetle ready to roll. Well there are always a few little things that need to be done. This my 1971 Super Beetle.
I’m not doubting it’s popularity but I just wasn’t a big fan of the cup cars on that circuit. I completely appreciate how others may have really liked it though.
I was never a fan of RA for cup cars. COTA was fine as it was a blast watching Bell & Byron perform flawlessly lap after lap. I think most fans and all casuals don’t like that kind of race but I’m just speculating
