I think high profile owners can be a good thing if they bring money and positive attention to the sport. Keeping MJ as an owner would be desirable but he has to abide by the same rules as others or he can go do his thing elsewhere.

It never bothered me when a driver had the season wrapped up before Atlanta. Of course it never bothered me when a race was won under yellow or the leader had 5 laps on the 2nd place car either.

I'm excited to see the he races but the playoffs are not exciting for me. Other than the awful “every point matters” on the broadcast they playoffs don’t bother me either as I put them on ignore! I don’t acknowledge them. Works for me 😀

I sure hope I get to see this race as I’ll be traveling.

8.5 Another good race from Darlington!

I would go back to the Latford point system or a slightly modified version of it. 5 points for leading a lap and 5 for leading the most laps. No win & your in. The driver that had accumulated the most points after the last race of the season would be the champion. You don’t need to tell me that...

If I remember correctly Loy won the pole for the Daytona 500 many years ago. I like his scheme too!

My favorite Hooters scheme was from Rick Mast in the 1 car.

I never thought that Atlanta & Darlington would get their second dates restored but they did so you can never say never. I never thought I would see cup cars at Iowa or a Chicago street race either but we sure did. I would much rather see a race from Joliet than several other tracks on the circuit.

I’m pumped for this race as Darlington is one of my favorite tracks. You’ve really done something when you’ve won there.

IMO there are things Nascar could do in order to make the series more like a sport. However I think the networks would prefer to have things the way they are as they believe gimmicks like overtime, win and your in, plus multiple restarts are what viewers want. I don’t think anyone really knows...

IMO a driver like Bubba Wallace has had 25 chances to either win a race or point himself in to the playoffs. If you can’t take a JGR-23xi car and put it in the playoffs something is bad wrong somewhere.

I would be very surprised to see cup cars racing in Fontana or Joliet ever again.

I’m more concerned about the quality of racing as opposed to the locale. Will the Los Pollos Hermanos 250 presented by Gus Fring be a good race?

All I know is that I was thrilled for Harrison to win a race. His Mom & Dad were overjoyed and I was happy for them. I don’t pay attention to the playoffs so it doesn’t matter to me when drivers low in the standings win. I can’t wait for Darlington!
