When Max has the best car and qualifies P1, yeah, he wins. Might as well call him the king of time trials. Larson would run circles around him in any other racing discipline

Definitely, and it's not even a discussion. Max can't race in traffic in F1. What makes anyone think he could race anything else and actually be competitive?

Nah, they just realized what happens to literally every single JGR affiliated team that isn't owned by the greatest sports figure of all time, and they were smart enough to go their own way. Hopefully it'll pay off

Yeah, it was a miracle that he even survived, let alone came back in '95 and started racing again. AND was competitive, immediately running up front and challenging for wins. I'm just glad he seems to be living a healthy life since his retirement in '99 (after a couple more serious wrecks)...
