    8 Best race this year.

    Fontana bonehead

I've got to say Kes and Logano for racing each other like it was the last lap instead of working together.

so why did nascar seem cooler in the 80's? broadcast was way better!!

I used to love the undercar shots where you could see the suspension travel and brake glow, but I think that the teams have a lot more tricks now that they do to the bottom and they might not want a camera there anymore.

Rate The Cup Race: Las Vegas I

8 I was there for it. I didn't really notice any speed difference from the last time I was there a few years ago. Beautiful day for a race and we had fun.

    Team Orders?

This was exactly the point I made when I started this post. I never said that Kyle let Denny win, I said that Kyle, who is arguably the best driver on restarts in NASCAR, let Denny go on the restart when that was his best chance to win. He did not race him 100% for whatever reason.I raced myself...

    Team Orders?

I'm not sure if Gibbs told Kyle Bush not to race Hamlin in those final laps, but if he did, I don't see the difference between that and asking a boxer to take a dive. If I'm M & M's and cutting a multimillion dollar check to have my product on the car for the biggest race of the year, I really...

Rate The Race: 2019 Daytona 500

1Going to agree with Switchback. After watching the boring single line racing for hours, I felt like I just wasted my time watching what turned out to be 3 cars racing for the Daytona win.

What races are you planning to go to in 2019

Already booked Las Vegas for March. It's an expensive race for us. Not because of the 5 star hotel, but because our wives don't care for racing. They shop the whole time we are at the track!

Uh Oh...Cheater cheater pumpkin eater...L1 for the 4 team

That's a great question, we might have to wait until the next Tuesday to find out who the champ is.

Rate The Cup Race: Daytona II

I haven't watched a race live in years. I PVR it and start watching about 1 1/2 hrs in. Here in Canada, we get the same commercials over and over again for the whole race. Plate races are watched on fast speed for the most part.

    Ricky Stenhouse Daytona bonehead thread

I've got to give Clint Bowyer a nod for bonehead. I think if he had helped his partner on the first overtime, they might have gone to the lead and he would have had a shot at winning.

NASCAR stuff you were REALLY wrong about.

How quickly Harvick became competitive after switching from Chev to Ford. They really didn't miss a step from the Daytona green onward.

    Truex penalty

The reason Harvick was not penalized was that the leader, Truex, "establishes the line". It doesn't matter how many followed him afterwards. The whole line could have followed him down there without a penalty because the line had been established.

    Richard Petty

David Pearson didn't run nearly as many races as Petty, but when they did run the same races, I believe Pearson won more than him.

    Jeff Gordon confronts no neck

Everybody knows that Newman won't let anybody by him without a battle, that's why I thought it was funny earlier in the race when he was telling his spotter to get on to the other spotters about getting their drivers to move over and let him by.

#24 Team Being Investigated For Tape Gate

Just think how boring that race would have been without the penalties to the 78 and 18 teams. They could have inverted the field at the end of each stage and made Truex start last each time and I'll bet he still would have won. Kyle spotted the field 2 laps and he was 1 yellow flag from being...

    The latest Twitter war

The one point that Brad made that I agree on is that it seemed at the beginning of the year, when the Gibbs drivers couldn't buy a win, NASCAR was very quick to make rule change after rule change. Most of them favouring the Toyotas. This not only allowed the Gibbs cars to catch up, but also...

Hamlin's wins at Darlington both encumbered

Do the encumbered wins still go into the record books as wins as far as Denny's stats go?

    The Announcers Thread

How about when they wheeled in Ken Squire and Ned Jarrett for the second stage. I think Dale was there to wipe their chins. I'm surprised they didn't start wondering where that youngster Morgan Shepherd got to.
