Make the win worth a lot of bonus points instead of an automatic advance. I dunno .. maybe 50 bonus points for a race victory, or something like that. Right now there is too much weight given to a race win.

I'm not so sure how attractive a one year stint in the 88 would be anyway ... Matt would surely prefer a multi-year deal somewhere else as long as it was a quality ride.

Yeah, I don't think Carl's retirement affected Matt in any way .. Matt was going to be out of a ride when his contract expired regardless. I take it Carl would be following Matt out the door had he stuck around to finish out his contract with JGR.
