Empire is a satirical "news" outlet. Rusty made a statement that he hasn't spoken to Tony or the AP.

Tony has had a win every year that he has run in cup including 2013. He hasn't had a win since his accident one year ago. He has finished in the top 11 every year except for last year when he missed half the season. He still has a lot of talent to put out!
