    500 RACE thread

I don't think so... Someone said that Junior had 8 top 3s in the Daytona 500. They weren't comparing him but just saying he was third behind those two. But it's not like it really matters.... as I said. I think the 8 top 3s is quite an accomplishment and as far as I'm concerned, it shows he...

    500 RACE thread

Oh I'm not confused. The poster said that Junior has 8 top 3s in the Daytona 500... 3rd behind Richard and Cale and you said they didn't race in plate packs. I don't think that takes away from Junior's accomplishment. It's still a great accomplishment. I'm not even sure where non-plate came...

    500 RACE thread

Doesn't really matter. Just shows Junior knows how to race in the format they've been running for the last 15 plus years. No one else among his peers has as many.

Is Austin Dillon the most hated driver in NASCAR?

    Not for me.

Rate the Race : Daytona 500

7 .. too many laps of follow the leader in the early to mid part of the race. Caution thrown on the last lap... yesterday's finish was much more exciting.

I'm happy for Logano. I wanted Junior to win, and I wish they had let them race to the end. I still don't think Junior would have won, but it would have been more exciting.

LOL.. I get confused sometimes.. but okay... yeah... it just seemed so odd to me. Anyway.. whatever it was is over. Hope for a speedy recovery for Kyle. Saw a cute pic of him and his wife and dog watching the 500 earlier. I also noticed that Junior was the only one of those interviewed...

Not really.. at least not the logic of him being brought into the argument... but whatever... it really doesn't matter.

Anwyay, they're fixing Daytona and I think are putting tires up as a barrier today... but it all strikes me as too little too late. And if Nascar is serious, then they also need to be working on the wall for Atlanta next week and all the other tracks. Not just Daytona.

    Xfinity RACE thread

Oh yeah.. and the fact that they're doing that whole Daytona Rising, which is costing millions, just pisses me off when they are not doing anything about safety. I'm glad they say they are now but too little too late.

I hate that it takes an accident like this to get them to make any kind of positive change..... and what's worse is if it had been a lesser known name.. say Alex Bowman, or Ryan Reed, the eventual winner, who knows? Maybe more lip service and no improvements.

    Xfinity RACE thread

Yep. I do think some teams do a lot more "bushwhacking" than others..... and potential for injury may be one reason for those who don't do it every week but I'm sure there are several other reasons too.

Good. Sounds like it was all some kind of misunderstanding... so I'm glad.

I don't think any particular race is any riskier than any other. I do think of course, the odds are greater for injury the more races you participate in ... but that's a risk many of these drivers are willing to take. Again.. look at Ken Schrader.. he probably races more than anyone... hence...

Kyle Busch will NOT race in the Daytona 500

wow.. that's a long time. Kyle's a little bit younger than Tony.. not a lot.. but maybe that will make a difference. I heard too his injuries weren't as severe.. but they still sound pretty severe to me.

Kyle Busch will NOT race in the Daytona 500

Jenna whats her name said that Kyle's injury wasn't as bad as tony's but that's not really saying much.
