Bonehead of the week: Charlotte II

Nobody wanted to see Truex in better equipment. Haven't you heard? He sucks.

Bonehead of the week: Charlotte II

I honestly beg to differ, the 3 kept up perfectly with the 48. His left sides didn't have enough laps on them to legitimately impact his restart too much. The second row just was much faster and Truex slammed Dillon too hard. Watch the video, Hamlin hit Johnson at the exact same time, except...

Bonehead of the week: Charlotte II

Truex for basically eliminating Elliott & Dillon. I hope they win the next two races and he gets taken out of the Chase.

    Cup RACE thread --- Charlotte

It was Truex's fault, not sure why you'd wish that on Dillon for just trying to get a good finish.

People's Opinions Changing Concerning Jimmie Johnson

In 2013, Jimmie Johnson won his 6th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship, much to the dismay of a huge amount of fans. They were sick of Jimmie Johnson, Chad Knaus, and the Lowe's Chevrolet dominating the Sprint Cup Series. In early 2014, NASCAR announced that they were revamping the Chase to...

Chase Round 2 (Round of 12) - Next 4 out?

I don't think Dillon will be eliminated in this round. Also, this round has seen the end of some stronger teams the past two years. In 2014, the Round of 12 saw the elimination of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., who led the points for a good bit of the regular season and had 3 wins at that point of the...

2016 Indianapolis - Combat Wounded Coalition 400 - Pre Race Thread

I was talking to a co-ed of mine from Indiana and she told me a ton of her friends went to this year's Indy 500 because of the concert before the race.

Help Me: What Can NASCAR Do To Attract More Minority Fans and Minority Racers?

If Suarez can be successful he will make a huge impact with the Latino fanbase. Today went a long way.

Help Me: What Can NASCAR Do To Attract More Minority Fans and Minority Racers?

I'm an 18 year old Hispanic and I'm the biggest racing fan that I know. More successful minority drivers would be a great start. When Montoya was racing my mother would sit down and watch the races with me, especially if he was contending for the win. Another step would be to allow more room...

    What happens when Junior retires?

I think they'll all go to Chase Elliott, who is setting up to be the most popular driver of all time. He is Bill's son, is driving Jeff's car and is Junior's protege. He's getting most of their fans.

clint bowyer will not finish out the hear at hscott (my prediction)

At Sonoma, yes he is. He runs well there more consistently than Kyle despite Kyle's two wins to Clint's one. AJ has never done anything at Sonoma outside of win the pole and lead the most laps in 2014.

clint bowyer will not finish out the hear at hscott (my prediction)

If HScott can bring a good enough piece for Bowyer at Sonoma, he can actually win that race. Outside of MAYBE Kurt Busch, he is the best driver at that track. Rest of the season be damned, they just need to buy a supercar for that race and they'll make the Chase.

The Racing in 2014 vs. Now

I know it's early with the new rules package, but the new rules package cannot be described as anything except lame. The aero push is worse than ever. The last two years Las Vegas has seen pretty good races, while this year the race was very boring. Atlanta sucked too. Something I've noticed...

falling out of love with nascar

Ryan Blaney was competing for his third career win, as was Dillon. Blaney's first win came at Kentucky in 2013 where he actually beat Dillon, his 2nd win came at the Bristol night race last year when he beat Kyle Busch on a late-race restart.

Would Kurt Busch be Chase-eligible if he returns?

In 2013 Tony Stewart missed the last 15 races of the season and still finished 29th in points. In 2002 Sterling Marlin missed the last 7 and finished 18th. Kurt could easily make the top 30, especially if he wins.

Honestly if the due date was moved back to Friday at noon it'd be a lot easier to remember, as I don't usually start thinking about the race weekend until Friday. Thursday is the middle of the week for me, not a raceday.
