    Xfinity RACE thread --- Martinsville

Okay, so here is my thought on the whole mess from a (former) business owner. I think no matter what you think of the on-track action between Sheldon Creed and Austin Hill, Andy Petree and Richard Childress absolutely handled this in the worst way possible. For Andy Petree, he chewed out one...

    Karting as a hobby

I'm just getting around to this because I've been sick since I got back from Millbridge, but I am back and I am feeling better. So Wednesday night I went to Millbridge, I talked to some of the guys in the pit areas. I even got to meet Moonhead! He's pretty big in the iRacing circles for his...

Is this actually faster, or does it just look cool?

    It'll buff out, it's fine.

See, that's what I was thinking!

Is this actually faster, or does it just look cool?

I follow a lot of dirt racing pages on various social media platforms because I do love dirt racing. From time to time, they'll post pictures like this. Granted this does look cool, but is it actually faster? In my mind, you'd want all four tires on the racing surface for better control and...

    NASCAR needs better road penalties

    And yet, here you are.

    NASCAR needs better road penalties

I will say, I do love the cat and mouse game the team plays with the pit lane loops. If you're going to strictly enforce pit lane speed with GPS tracking or whatever, might as well put in a pit limiter button in the car.

    NASCAR needs better road penalties

With NASCAR's race control no doubt receiving up to date data from the 38 cars on the field, there's no real reason for the "full stop or pass through" penalty that NASCAR has implemented for road courses. Of course this only seems to be a problem on the Charlotte Roval but if the Roval is...

    Round Of 8, Who Advances?

Yea, this is my pick as well. I see Hamlin choking in the Round of 8 and not advancing.

I agree with him, controversies and **** stirrers like Denny Hamlin are just a distraction from the goal of winning races and winning Championships.

NGL, when I heard the specs of the NextGen cars for the first time. I thought it was going to open up a second lane at tracks like Martinsville, because more grip means more side by side racing, right? Boy, how wrong I was.

Post 2022 Gen 7 Car Upgrades

I was with you til the last part. Hamlin is a hypothetical whiny little bitch who has no problem racing other drivers dirty, but if the other drivers pay him back in kind? Oh he'll raise a big stink about it. He'll cry about it on the post-race broadcast, social media, and on his podcast...

    Deegan update

I agree with this post. There are people out there that still tries to keep oval racing a "Good ol' boys club," but that's obviously a failing business model. It's why NASCAR been expanding to other parts of the world and why they have the Drive for Diversity program. Hailie Deegan, Bubba...

Post 2022 Gen 7 Car Upgrades

Yea, I think the last time they tried to unionize was in 1969 with the Professional Drivers Association. Their biggest moment came when teams walked out of the first Talladega race because the tires couldn't sustain the heavy loads of the high speed and high banked turns of the track. They...

Because they don't like to admit mistakes. It's the same reason why we still have The Playoffs despite the fact that it hurts TV ratings during Football season instead of helping it. Yea, it added more drama during the racing season, but the drama isn't helping the TV rating. It's why they...

    Karting as a hobby

Ahh, I remember the flathead 5hp Briggs and Stratton motors from the 80s and 90s. They started off as tiller motors or motors for equipment that you'd use around the home. People would take the B&S off of those equipment and strap them to the karts. Then people started modifying those old...

Post 2022 Gen 7 Car Upgrades

They're not wrong though. The NextGen cars suck when it comes to short tracks. I know people say they also suck on road courses. But the problem on RCs is that the NextGen car is too good on road courses. In the past, one of the things that made road course races fun is that the cars they...
