Round Of 8, Who Advances?

Kyle Larson
William Byron
Denny Hamlin
tyler B- reddick

Unless his performance improves DRAMATICALLY, this is where the luck runs out. You really can't fake your way into the final four.
Jeff Gordon found a way in 2015. The year before, Newman with zero wins did. It's been done and I think Buescher does it this year, not that hes faking it but you would think with the regular season Truex had, you'd bet on him before the others that are left after Larson, Hamlin, and Byron.

What I'm saying is Truex hasn't had a top 15 since Watkins Glen. If that trend continues, he's not going to make it. I would say baring a win, it will take him at minimum, a top 5 and two top tens to advance. More likely two top fives. I'm not saying they CAN'T, just that for two months they HAVEN'T.

Man, I hope you all are right! It’s been a while since I’ve had someone to root for in the final four.
Last year was Ross by default after Martinsville and being kind of an underdog, but still not necessarily a fan. Other than that I never have, being a life long Jr fan and now Byron.

Otherwise it’s usually just been anyone but Denny and Harvick for me. That being said I strangely have really wanted to see Harvick get just one more win this year.

Larson, Byron, Hamlin Buescher.

Bell is Larson - like mistake prone minus the speed and experience.

Not necessarily a fan but I will at least say the win today should at least negate any inevitable argument to be made by some for Blaney being handed the championship when his points penalty was rescinded if he wins next week.

Also honestly this seems like it could be one of the best championship races/battles in a long time next week if they all bring their best.

Yeah, I'd be content with any of the 4 winning.

Larson the most, of course. Followed closely by Blaney. I can take or leave Bell or Byron but I don't think I'd be disappointed.

Part of me would quietly be pulling for Blaney here. I always felt he was a great old school driver, a 2004-2013 chase driver. Consistent, wins here and there. He's always left wins on the table. However, the last 5 races have been the best 5 race stretch of his career. And during that stretch, he's been the only car to match the 5 in raw speed imo. A Ryan Blaney championship would be super cool.

I said years ago that I pretty much liked most of the drivers, but I never cared much for preacher Joe Gibbs after he switched the yotas and left Stewart and Zippy in the lurch so I went with them as the villains. Since then, there have been many reasons, too many to list. I lost respect for Bell for not standing up and throwing away his dirt driving career. I used to watch him race in micro's and midgets long before he went to Nascar.
