BREAKING: 27 Killed in Massacre at Conneticut Elementary School

I'll leave the politics to the Podium, but it's too bad that guns had to become a wedge political issue decades ago. Give politicians a wedge and they'll use it to carve out votes.

    1 decade. Not much progress.

From a causal open wheel fan Indy vs. F1

Get rid of DRS and have a cumulative minimum allowable weight for the season. So, teams can run whatever weight they want in a given race, but their total weight of all finishes must be above a certain amount by the end of the season. If the car doesn’t finish a race, they’re given the highest...

Red flag aside, it was double yellow before that and he was clearly driving too fast past the incident (tractor or not). Imagine instead of a tractor, marshals were on the track and he lost it where Sainz lost it…

Yeah, that looks pretty sketchy to take anything down. A little off topic, but have you heard of the Strid in the UK? I think it’s like one of the most dangerous stretches of river in the world and it doesn’t look like it would be.

    2021 Fall/Winter Thread

It’s been a mess. At one point, we had a couple miles of I-5 closed south of Olympia due to flooding and all of the mountain passes closed. Passes are still closed, but I-5 has reopened, but for a while there you only had a couple 2 lane highways drivers in the Seattle metropolitan area had to...

F1 Abu Dhabi Race Thread Finale

The risk was very low for the reward the tire changes provided. By not pitting for tires, Max essentially wasn't going to win the championship unless Hamilton had an incident. So, Max's risk of not winning the championship was very high by not pitting for tires.

F1 Abu Dhabi Race Thread Finale

I think I agree with you. My position is that the stewards/race officials operating in an uncorrupt way when a mistake is made should not reverse a final result. However, if there was corrupt intent, then I think that's fair game for overturning things. For the record, I don't think there was...

The FIA should admit it’s error, but uphold the result. I’m no Max fan (don’t really like him at all) but he passed fairly given the situation under his control.

I agree. If they wanted to make sure there was racing to end things, they should have red flagged it.

2.4 gs under braking there is ridiculous. That was reckless and deserves more than a 10 sec meaningless penalty. He’s cracking under the pressure.
