Fastest way around the track is high in some places and low in others.

    Ridiculous article

“My grandfather was a bold leader, a consensus-builder,” France said." "consensus-builder"!!! I don't know what he was like late 40s early 50s, but by the 60s France Sr was pretty much "My way or the highway!"

    Failed Inspection

"Obviously NASCAR does a great job inspecting the cars and they found that our ride heights after qualifying were too low," said Greg Ives, crew chief for Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 Chevrolet. "They did their due diligence of allowing us to go through their processes of how they deal with it. In the...

Which Racetrack Would DRIVERS Want Off The Schedule?

I've only heard two drivers complain about racing road courses and both of them are retired now (Jimmy Spencer and Morgan Sheppard). A lot of them are so bored with the cookie cutters they look forward to road courses even if they may not be that good at them.

    Please Vote Molly For GoDaddy

Saw it last night on the news. Not that bad and it's been pulled, they will go with another ad during the Super Bowl.

    Chase Elliott

I think this is great news! I was expecting it, just a question of which year. On the subject of number, I prefer to see the #24 continue, but if Chase has a preference I hope he gets what he wants. However it's usually the owner (or sponsor) that calls the shots on number, and Rick tends to...

You're the owner with unlimited resources and every driver is available. Who's your driver?

Jimmie Johnson Kyle Busch Kyle Larson Chase Elliot

Which racetrack do you want off the cup schedule?

Talladega tired of seeing $5-10mil pileups plus the risk to the lives of drivers.

    Numbers that SHOULD be retired

I believe they already exist, if someone asks for one. I know they are used in Nascar's lower series.

    Jeff Gordon... #46??

It's the driver who makes the number iconic not the other way around.

    Digital Dashboards coming to NASCAR

Actually Darrell Waltrip has made that comment for decades! ;)

testing, if you want to start a cup team??

Per Jayski there sure looks like a lot of testing for a "no testing" season: http://www.jayski.com/news/test/story/_/page/NASCAR-2015-Testing Don't know if it still applies but historically Nascar has called testing: "Two or more of: Driver, Crew Chief, or Car." I think there were exceptions...

Dale Earnhardt Jr. losing pit crew members to JGR

I recall when Gordon was wrapping up his 3rd or 4th Championship, 5 of his "Rainbow Warriors" pit crew jumped to Yates #88 Dale Jarrett team. From what I've seen Hendrick pays very well but won't get into a bidding war.

Keselowski Says Truck Team Lost $1 Million

Do you really think they were that cheap? I would have thought by the late 90s the Cup cars were over $200k (assuming drive line is included in cost). A quick way Nascar could cut expenses in the Truck series is reduce the number of crew over the wall and only one airgun.

Two Bimmers and a Benz that had to be expensive!

What does Nascar need to do to improve attendance

Just what race track that has two Cup dates sells out in recent years?

Will The Chase come to Truck/Nationwide?

I don't think so and I hope they get rid of it in Cup.

Will changes next year help Stewart?

Yes I would put them 4th behind Hendrick, Penske, & Gibbs, but ahead of Roush & Childress. Harvick won the championship mostly with the crew that didn't excel for years with Newman, Busch did pretty well with a first year team. Patrick may just never be better than a 12th-18th team. Stewart may...

Texas - AAA Texas 500 - Pre Race Thread

At 900hp and the first time in over four decades it's time. I would have rather seen them drop from 6 liters to 5, but using a plate is cheaper.
