Good read, thanks for posting. I'll just say I think this is a 2nd step in the right direction, and I really hope we see participants coming up through the ranks in the near future.

The biggest problem I have with the NBC guys- and it's mostly Jeff- is that they feel the need to always be talking. It's ok to just listen to the race for 5 or 10 seconds, it's enjoyable to watch the race and not have useless pratter going on in the background. Every second of airtime does not...

Where is this so-called podium? I found the stairway to the podium but it said it had zero post and I couldn't access it. Is that it?

I'll try to dig up some old pics my mom gave me years ago that she took on of our trips to riverside. They are from when they had the big wings and Petty's car was still just "Petty blue"- no STP red and Bobby Allison's coca cola car. Had some good memories going there as a little kid!

For me it's KDB, the F is reserved for REAL legends! Like-" Hey see that guy- that's Richard F...... Petty" or " Dale F....... Earnhardt did it again!" or " Bo F........ Jackson ran over the Boz!". I can't use the F for someone who is only a legend in his own mind haha!

Don't really have "my guy" but I usually pull for Elliot, JJ, and even Bowman and who ever puts the bumper to KDB! Was a Larson fan( what the hell was he thinking). Don't mind Harvick, Kez( he has grown on me as he has matured), even Logano. Only a few I can't stand- KDB( obviously LOL)...
