Side by side for the last half was fine for me, gave me a chance to look on twitter for a few minutes too, but that's my personal viewing experience. The commercial with 14 to go irked me, however.

NASCAR says they initially thought it was mainly cars spinning. Once they saw hard hits with multiple cars, threw the caution.
To me it looks like they tried as hard as they could to try and see if they could keep it green, remember it's a judgement call. I just don't understand that people think cars need 17 miles to stop like it's a freight train or something, they could have easily raced back to line and get stopped...
Paint Scheme Preview for Daytona:

Really loving the 3 and the 24. Dissapointed the 88 isn't running anything special.
Gordon did great this year, not sure if anyone noticed but his common "Look at this!" when something's about to happen has caught onto me, I guess. Can't get enough of Mike Joy, either.
I like my night races but I'm fine with them being more rare on the schedule. Night racing is one of my favorite things and 1 reason why the July race at Daytona is one of my favorites.
I am literally never making fun of Joey Logano throwing a water bottle ever again because that was the lamest fight I've ever seen at a stock car race.
Tragic, innocent human beings killed for 1 small obscure difference in their life that harms no one and makes them happy, because someone doesn't agree with it. Disgusting.
I really am feeling for the families tonight.
