Just like last year he sixth and points because his worst finish all year is 20th, he has hardly any stage points no stage wins and he hasn't really been a factor in any of the races. Nobody wants to be the fourth best driver on a four car team.

Rev, you know me well enough to know that I don't sugarcoat things, I don't make excuses and I don't pretend stuff isn't happening. I'll even go as far to say that if Rick and Jeff gave me the job of fixing it, I don't even know where I'd start. All I know is what they are doing right now isn't...

    Hendrick Motorsport News

I think you all know that I'm as much in Chase's corner as anyone, BUT, this mediocre, scrambling to salvage top ten crap has GOT TO STOP. Larson is faster, Byron is "luckier" and as of late Bowman is more consistent. That isn't leaving much for Chase. It's LONG past time for him to not only...

    Ty Gibbs Appreciation Thread

As much as I don't want to rehash a bunch of old stuff, it's one thing to have the talent for the highest level, but the people that succeed most often have the wisdom and the maturity to go with it, and figure out how to manage the pressure and the expectations. Sometimes I think adults do the...

I have no idea what the issue is, but this thing is going south in a BIG hurry. He quickly went from being the guy you were sure was going to be the next first time winner to an absolute afterthought.

    The Announcers Thread

I've been screaming this from the rooftops for 25 years, but most just don't want to hear it. From the original TV deal, all NASCAR was concerned about was the size of the check. Whether the fine print favored NASCAR or not was in my opinion NEVER a consideration. NASCAR took an opportunity...

Cup RACE thread --- Las Vegas

Well, in defense of this one, the 21 struggled with Matty D. UNTIL they made a needed crew chief change, and that car woke up overnight. My point would be that Harrison has ONLY showed any actual ability in overwhelmingly good JGR Xfinity equipment, and Penske and the Woods had every reason to...

Cup RACE thread --- Las Vegas

I for one am not the slightest bit surprised that Josh has taken the 21 to victory lane, yes, Harrison really WAS that bad, and no, nobody had ANY reason to set up Harrison to fail.

Congrats to Josh Berry and the Wood Brothers! I'm just sitting here thinking about all the experts who said single lug wheels falling off would cease to be an issue. Four years in, STILL waiting.

    Ram Back For Trucks?

My guess is they will dust off the NASACAR spec non-production based Cup/Xfinity engine the used before and simply update it to current standards and specs. Now that the engines are so restricted, it shouldn't be much of an issue. That engine was designed to have at least a couple hundred more...

    Bonehead of the week: COTA

I don't dislike Ross at all, I think he is entertaining, and like underdogs that bust their ass to succeed, but the move at COTA was just as dumb as possibly can be, not because he spun out Chase, but because it had about a 1% chance of succeeding, and could have ruined a LOT of people's day. I...

    New Lineup for DBC

I miss Brett because he was unfiltered and he gave a lot of perspective from the sponsorship and marketing side. Tommy has been a great addition, giving both a crew chief and a car owner's perspective. Casey was completely useless. I don't know how smart she actually is, but she projected...

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

Near the end, during one of the tight battles for the lead, the camera angle chosen was one where basically all you could see was the back of a grandstand. The cars were too close to the front side of the stands to be seen. I don't really understands how that happens. What is the producer in...

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

At the first Brickyard, the two guys between our seats and the aisle started drinking beer about 6 AM. They ended up spending over HALF the race going to the bathroom. They never openly appeared intoxicated, but who wants to score one of the hottest tickets in the history of racing, and spend...

    Cup RACE thread --- COTA

When you try to go from row 5 to row 2 on the first corner of the race, and are going too fast to make the turn without using someone else's car to stop you, that's not racing, that's a jackass move. Yes, others have done it, but Ross has been around long enough to know better.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they share many of the same fans, and both organizations are fully aware of that, and play it up to their benefit. Personally, I'd rather stick my head in a blast furnace than watch WWE or MMA, but like so many things, I'm probably in the minority.

    Daytona RACE thread

I have always found it interesting that likely the same people who would camp out on a sidewalk to buy concert tickets or stand in the freezing cold for hours on Thanksgiving night to save $100 on a laptop at Best Buy, bitch about having to get to ACTUAL events early to use expensive tickets...

I noticed really big gaps in the main grandstand a few minutes before the initial start. Maybe those people were on site, but they weren't in their seats yet. This was the camera pointing from the roof down towards the start/finish line.

How memorable would they be without all the aggressive driving? Once thy go three wide, there isn't much happening.
