I think they'll all go to Chase Elliott, who is setting up to be the most popular driver of all time. He is Bill's son, is driving Jeff's car and is Junior's protege. He's getting most of their fans.

At Sonoma, yes he is. He runs well there more consistently than Kyle despite Kyle's two wins to Clint's one. AJ has never done anything at Sonoma outside of win the pole and lead the most laps in 2014.

If HScott can bring a good enough piece for Bowyer at Sonoma, he can actually win that race. Outside of MAYBE Kurt Busch, he is the best driver at that track. Rest of the season be damned, they just need to buy a supercar for that race and they'll make the Chase.

I know it's early with the new rules package, but the new rules package cannot be described as anything except lame. The aero push is worse than ever. The last two years Las Vegas has seen pretty good races, while this year the race was very boring. Atlanta sucked too. Something I've noticed...

Ryan Blaney was competing for his third career win, as was Dillon. Blaney's first win came at Kentucky in 2013 where he actually beat Dillon, his 2nd win came at the Bristol night race last year when he beat Kyle Busch on a late-race restart.

In 2013 Tony Stewart missed the last 15 races of the season and still finished 29th in points. In 2002 Sterling Marlin missed the last 7 and finished 18th. Kurt could easily make the top 30, especially if he wins.

Honestly if the due date was moved back to Friday at noon it'd be a lot easier to remember, as I don't usually start thinking about the race weekend until Friday. Thursday is the middle of the week for me, not a raceday.

I think Austin Dillon is the future. 2 tenths of a second is the difference between running 1st and 15th every week. Over time, Austin will learn how to pick up a tenth of a second. It's no secret that RCR had an off year this year, so I think at some point their equipment will improve enough...

I wonder if a Cup team can provide a car to an ARCA team so the ARCA team could test it? I know the chassis aren't the same but there wouldn't be an obvious way of knowing which chassis is being tested.
