NASCAR Pick 'Em 2022 - Martinsville

I made my entire list in advance as well. I'm only submitting one or two races at a time though, so I'm more involved and can change my mind if necessary. Now that Atlanta is a superspeedway track, I'm changing my pick for the fall race and putting that driver in a different race.

NASCAR Pick 'Em 2022 - Circuit of the Americas

It's nice to get the "highest finishing pick" award at a race I attended. :)

Nascar at COTA pre race thread

Yes. We're in the Turn 12 stands. We were in Turn 1 last year. We decided to try a different spot this time. We have several turns in fairly close view here.

My dad and I are headed to the COTA race as well!

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Before this race, I would've strongly disagreed with this opinion. I don't like shortening races. But... we're approaching the 3 hour mark, and just now starting stage 3. Most races would be over about now.

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Atlanta is too small of a track for pushing.

Wrecky Spinhouse, Jr! Okay, it's not his fault his tire blew. I just wanted to use his nickname.

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

I like superspeedway racing like this. But, I'm hoping this doesn't happen with other tracks. If there are too many superspeedway races, they will lose their novelty. We still need traditional tracks where drivers can race without having to be in a draft.

Texas was reconfigured a few years ago... I kinda wish it were reconfigured like this. But, maybe the racing at TMS will be more exciting with the new car.

NASCAR Pick 'Em 2022 - Auto Club

Daytona 500 prediction: Austin Dillon. Daytona 500 winner: Austin Cindric. Auto Club prediction: Kyle Busch. Auto Club winner: Kyle Larson. My new crystal ball knows how to give me the correct first name, but not the correct last name. I'm thinking I need to replace it.

What do you think of the NextGen Car?

They need to fix the issue with cars not being able to drive to pit road if a tire blows out. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the racing I saw today. I thought I enjoyed the previous car's 550 hp package, but this car showed me I was wrong. EDIT: I don't mind seeing the Toyota cars having...

NASCAR Pick 'Em 2022 - Auto Club

Last week, I picked the wrong Austin to win. Hopefully, I didn't pick the wrong Kyle this week! Or, the wrong Busch.

    Cup RACE thread --- Fontana

I'm pausing the race and will start it in about 30 minutes so I can skip some commercials. Last week was awful.

    RFFL 2022

I'm glad I won the prestigious Daytona 500!, because I forgot qualifying is a thing again and did not pick better drivers before this race's qualifying.

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

Charlotte is also a track where the All-Star race is purposeless, as that track can host a full length race with a full field. I've felt that the All-Star race is a purposeless race for many years. IMO, moving the All-Star race to a track that cannot host a full length race with a full field...

    Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

Most people watching this race on FOX are watching in 720p, as that's the resolution most FOX affiliates broadcast in. 720p is the standard resolution for FOX programming.

    Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

I was just about to trash Jacques Villeneuve the moment I saw him on the first replay. But, upon watching other replays, that wasn't his fault.

Oh jeez... that in-car cam had me thinking someone was spinning. Turns out, they were just panning the camera.

Seriously... the number of commercials in this race is ridiculous. It's been a while since I've complained about commercials, but my whining is fully warranted today.
