Lightening within 10 miles. Wasn't that the rule last week?

Ross Chastain is a Future Star

Ross Chastain will get a top organization right in the Cup series. While we are complaining about the industry's lack of money and sponsorship involvement, this guy is going city to city marketing himself and his teams. We long for the "good ole days", but this guy is driving his motorhome...

First Memories Of Watching Cup Series

I was born in '91, so here goes my list. I vaguely remember seeing Mark Martin's crash at Talladega when he drove through the fence in 1994. I also remember watching Ward Burton burn his car up qualifying in 1996, I believe. I was brought up into NASCAR by my dad. It was right at the...

    Truck RACE thread --- Kansas

Ross Chastain has driven every race in all three series this season. He drives his own motorhome to the track each week. On Monday, he drove 400 miles, then drove his own motorhome back to Charlotte so he could fly out to Florida to work on his farm. Quintessential NASCAR is right in front...

    DW to call it quits?

I felt like he gave a genuine interview on satellite radio tonight. He talked about not liking all of the change, about how Fox has pushed him to say the "boogity, boogity, boogity" deal and how he may just go home to Franklin and stay away. A bit depressing, honestly.

Cup RACE thread --- Las Vegas

Should have pitted and took tires. Could have stayed out after stage two. Would have been close to stay on the lead lap, but worth the gamble, I think.

    The Attendance Thread

I can agree with this. Watching the Fox trailer for the upcoming Earnhardt/Gordon documentary, the banter between fans. So much passion between fan demographics.

Interest builds around possible changes to NASCAR schedule

Hard to have a 10 race playoff format in 28 races, too.

    Greatest What If Drivers...

Tim Richmond, Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison are three interesting candidates. That could have drastically altered the NASCAR landscape, especially the resumes of Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon.
