Hopefully this will be at least the second to last Atlanta race with the superspeedway aero/engine setup.

Less drag and downforce; more horsepower. The latter won't happen obviously and they're not changing the body contours so it all has to be in the front splitter, ride height and rear spoiler.

There's a few simple things NASCAR can do to make the racing better at superspeedways, they're just not willing to put the time and money into it to make it happen apparently.

^I thought the new engine being the hang-up for potential new manufacturers entering the series meant it wouldn't be a spec motor. If it was, why would they care how many horsies it makes?

How is Carl Edwards a Hall of Famer? Even by lax NASCAR standards, he shouldn't have been elected based on his self-imposed shortened career and lack of a Cup championship.

I think they're stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one given all the race manipulation last year. If the same thing happens this season then they'll be forced to change the format.

I don't really care what the playoff system is at this point. I just wish the broadcasters would stop bringing up the point standings every two seconds and showing the +/- cutline graphic for half the race.

Eliminate the "win and you're in" rule for both regular season and playoffs, cut the playoff field back to 12 with three rounds of three races each.

^NASCAR should give it up and end the season in September.

The best way to determine a champion is most overall wins. Tiebreaker would be total points.
