Yeah, that makes sense. A manufacturer should enter (while the sport was transitioning between two cars no less), and win championships immediately. Get the word out. That should attract new OEMs.

I think that it is important to note that Denny considers those who like the current system in favor of mediocrity.....didn't necessarily say that those who have won it necessarily are...but I know we have a narrative, right?

I have a problem with this being a backdoor deal between Jim and The Felon when I know at least MY manufacturer was interested. Toyota isn't strongly associated with NASCAR? Your metric please. I would bet that the fans in France would be fascinated by a manufacturer who not only races...
