    NASCAR announces 2019 MENCS rules

The problem is that the cars from the late 80's and the cars in 2019 are vastly different from an aero standpoint. The cars in the late 80's did not have the downforce that the cars in 2019 will have. I'm kind of excited about the new package for selfish reasons. Once they see that the high...

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

I think we did see it, but we also lost so many viewers because people have become accustomed to Kansas putting on a boring race. I didn't think the race was that bad, but I will say that if it wasn't for the playoffs, there wouldn't have been much to talk about.

    NASCAR Death Bed

Respectfully disagree here. Look at Golf and Soccer. Both are highly diverse global sports and neither of them do as well as NASCAR in the US and both have their challenges. And what about Indycar and F1? Both are highly diverse and have a very small following in the US. Nascar's challenges lie...

NASCAR On FOX , New Studio For 2019

That's a generous shot of the coverage by NBC, usually they are zoomed into a single car so you can't see where they are on the track or who is on their bumper.

They aren't flakes, they are 'O's! With little tiny marshmallow race cars. The 'O's are actually in the shape of the 1.5 mile cookie cutters!

Can We Please Get Talladega off the schedule?

Anyone else see the irony in this race? Two years ago the JGR team ran single file in the back so they wouldn't wreck. After that we got stage racing. This year we get the same thing but the SHR cars did it out front. Now what is NASCAR going to do?

    NASCAR announces 2019 MENCS rules

I couldn't read the article but I definitely agree to push for more of a stock car. I think the 550hp motor is a good step in that direction and I can see how it makes NASCAR more relevant to other auto manufacturers. I will of course give the 2019 package a chance because the only other option...

    SILLY SEASON 2019

I could see Suarez getting the 1 car next year. I know Kurt Busch is supposed to be in it, but I could see Suarez as the fallback.

Wow, that parachute on the back is huge! Why not just break out a 4x8 sheet of plywood?

Round 2 Of Who Doesn't Advance From Round 2

Bowman, Bowyer, Almirola, Blaney I'm actually pulling for the 10 and 12, but I just don't think they have the cars to make it thru the next round. I expect some fireworks this round though, opposed to last year when everything was calm until Phoenix.

Brett Griffin: Garage talk is that AllStar package being used at all tracks next season

I give it til after Talladega 2019 until the owners start complaining about destroying too many cars.

    2018 Charlotte -- Bank Of America Roval 400 - Pre-Race Thread

Thought this was kind of funny from racer.com And even for drivers like Keselowski who go to Charlotte with nothing on the line, having fun might be hard. “As much fun as you can have going into a race knowing you’re going to destroy about 30 cars,” said Keselowski.

Brett Griffin: Garage talk is that AllStar package being used at all tracks next season

So are we all moving over to IMSA next year? It's got some awesome looking cars and great racing. If IMSA did an oval like Michigan, Auto Club, or even Indy, that would be awesome.

I was wondering how many laps until the first caution and how many cars are wrecked during the first lap/caution?

Brett Griffin: Garage talk is that AllStar package being used at all tracks next season

The original rumor a while back was that all cookie cutters would get the ASR for a total of 14 races not including Daytona and Tally. I'm thinking, Vegas x2, Texas x 2, Kansas x2, Charlotte x1, Pocono x2, Michigan x2, Chicago x1, Kentucky x1, Indy x1, which would be 14 races. If you add Auto...

Brett Griffin: Garage talk is that AllStar package being used at all tracks next season

Maybe they can bring back the IROC series and have it be the complete opposite of the plate series.

Brett Griffin: Garage talk is that AllStar package being used at all tracks next season

It will only last until they realize they are having "the big one" at every track and having to build new cars every week. The expense of that is way too high and this plate racing won't last long on the 1.5 mile tracks.

    NASCAR - Television Ratings Thread

If we have to keep the playoffs, let's make the first round only applicable to the teams that have only 1 win. Any team with more than one win gets a bye through the first round of playoffs. Anyone with only one win at the end of the first round of playoffs gets eliminated no matter how many...
