    Bonehead of the Week: Kansas

I know some people were comparing this to the Ty deal from a week ago, BUT the circumstances are TOTALLY different this week. My only thought is that if I'm Denny, I'm going to make damn sure if I can't win, Bubba does. I think he needed to be more cognizant of the possibility of his car washing...

    Cup RACE thread --- Kansas

Chase was in the top 5 all day. Probably had nothing for Denny, but I think he could go heads up against the rest of the Toyotas. You had just better hope the chain gang doesn't find another tenth or two in the next few weeks. The gap is narrowing.

    Bonehead of the Week: Kansas

I also don't fault Denny in this instance as much as others, but you would like to think that he MIGHT have given Bubba a wider birth, so that if Denny couldn't win, Bubba would. As for Bell, Bubba doesn't really owe him much other than being a fellow Toyota driver. I can really see how all...

    2026 Silly Season

Let us not forget that Alex is two crew errors away from advancing to at least the final 8 last year, and at least the final 12 this year. Do we want to start a list of drivers that can't say that?

Bonehead of the Week: New Hampshire

Let's not forget Kez driving into the inside wall, but definitely Ty. When your last name is on the building, you have to think a little bigger picture than your own selfishness. Cup level talent, bush league mentality.

    2026 Silly Season

You will never get an argument from me that the Latford System weighted consistency too much and success too little. That being said, I will go to my grave believing that it could still form the framework for a points system VASTLY superior to anything we have had since.

What do you think I have been complaining about all year? Doesn't change the fact that he almost won the regular season championship.

    2026 Silly Season

Well, he was a crash at Daytona away from snagging the regular season championship from Byron. Fine, use The 24 if it makes you feel better.

    2026 Silly Season

If Toyota was serious about his future prospects, they would have found him a home. The "felon" doesn't let talent die on the vine, he makes room SOMEWHERE, and he's just a car owner.

    2026 Silly Season

If he's NOT pissed off over his situation, I wouldn't want him as a driver. Right NOW he is probably better than a third of the Cup field. The whole thing is about as absurd as using Secretariat to plow corn fields.

    2026 Silly Season

I don't feel that is an accurate description of the situation. The reason the 48 team isn't advancing in the playoffs is self inflicted mistakes, set up by having some terrible luck earlier in the year. I feel like for much of the year, the 48 was faster than the 9. At one point they were...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Joe Gibbs has power, why does nobody seem to want to align with him? There are some rumblings about JGR-23XI, but Denny's connection to both keeps it under the radar. Haas left the HMS alliance because Ford threw a **** ton of money at them. How'd THAT work out? Why did the Garage 56 deal go...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

How did Rick neuter Chastain? He asked Ross not to wreck HIS cars, he didn't say anything about not wrecking the other 30 some odd cars on the track. I think what you interpret as neutering was really Trackhouse's cars becoming less competitive as the teams got more familiar with the new car...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

Trackhouse Kaulig (for now) and Spire din't seem to have any issues with how Chevy does things, and now it looks like Haas is crawling back, so why should Jimmie-come -lately get a better deal than they are getting? As for how Toyota got JGR, lets not forget who got JGR off the ground, and...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

From what we were told at least, he simply wasn't interested in car ownership at that time, or ANY time until he DID. If Cup car ownership was some long term goal, I don't think he ever does the Indycar thing. You can't have this thing both ways, Rev. You can't slam Chevy or Hendrick for not...

    Cup RACE thread — Darlington

I don't think I have to tell you that Jimmie was offered an ownership stake in HMS just like Jeff a couple of times, but turned it down. Perhaps if Jimmie had shown ANY kind of interest in car ownership years ago, Chevy and or Rick would have greased the skids in that direction, but if you...

Time for NASCAR to End its Season in September

Weeknights are a loser from an attendance AND a TV viewing standpoint. I think that makes it a non-starter.

Well, I think people treat you the way you LET them treat you, and if you don't invoke a penalty for mistreatment, they'll likely do it again.
